  4. 68 rabbits in a 100yd net in one drop with a lad called Deka,who some lads on hear know.We went on to killo over 100 rabbit with the nets that night.

  9. Your not setting right if you have so many snares knocked.Make sure your snare is not set too far to the left or right. Another very important tip is to face the way the rabbits are going(ie,with your back to the wood,hedge or where ever the rabbits are coming from) or your snare wont be square to the run.If its grass keep your wires at 51/2".Dont blame hight for bad snare positioning. Make sure you find at least three beats in a straight line and set the middle beat.By doing this you now the rabbit is hitting the middle beat as straight as possible. Dont put too much tension in your snares

V.max,the exact same happened to me when they dried to revoke my firearmes cert.I actually rang basc for advise and the useless arseholes gave me the wrong info :realmad: .I was very lucky not to loose my certificates.   16. Went to do a mole job near stokesly this morning.I bumped into Moorman as his daughter liver near the job so he come along while i set my traps.Iset 35 traps in two fields totaling six acres. After setting the traps we walked back round them to see if ide been lucky.We took a total of ten moles out of the 35 traps.One of them was my very first white mole Its much whiter than any white mole that youve caught moley (you brought me luck moorman )
  17. What are you setting on rabbithunter,ie-grass,mud,corn or woodland.You might have your wires too high?? Are you sure they are set at 6"?
  18. No the hazel doesnt have to be dried.You will get a week out of a freshly cut wip.A couple of weeks out of a dried wip
  19. I use two stranded snares,i have used single stranded wires which work just as well but you have to use a lighter hazel springer The bottom picture shows a snare set for a squirrel that is visiting the corn bin

Nice one saclalin.Ime glad to see that other trappers are having ago at spring snaring the rats.Its not as hard as it looks.I started snaring the rats when i was about twelve.It took abit of trial and error but found that spring snares is the only way to kill them without the rats biting through the snares Ime off to check a few rat snares now
