The lad has posted to say the beds were built for terriers, and he says he will fix them. So as far as im concerned whoever posted this should get a pat on the back!The lad whos owns the dogs never denied that they were the dogs beds, so why so many doubters.What ever excuse at least now the lad might think about his dogs living conditions. We all have our own ideas on the right ways to hunt ect, BUT any animal deserves to be well housed feed and watered, these are unconditional.SO FAIR PLAY TO EVER RAISED IT!!!Shame he didnt take it on board the first time instead of getting abussive.

Ihave seen a lot of pointless rows on here, but if your dogs get a bigger bed,and its made you think this was probably one of the better topics been on here.At least you can say that for the site.

Shortly after getting my first car, i drove to a spot, i had been many times before, it was a good night by the time i got to 3rd field,had got a few, i was thinking about nothing but hunting, how well dog was going ect,as i jumped into 3rd field though,before i had even turned on lamp. Every hair on me was standing on end,I really started to shit it, i was scared to turn on the lamp,expecting to see a ghost,or my dog`s hackles up or something.Any way plucked up courage,put the lamp on dog first ,if she wasn't happy i was gone, dog was happy enough just looking for stuff,quick shine around did -

TBH.I always thought breeding was about best available to best available. Every body's differant so when you buy a pup its up to you to ask the right guestions to see if the breeder wants his dog to do the same as you need.course you cannot train a dog to go to ground or a dog to do 5 out of 5. But the best breed dogs can and are ruined through incorrect entering, or without being given a chance, not all are natural's some need time. All the things you said there about the lurcher are pretty standard,id of thought.Thats why i wouldnt get a collie cross can get a bit clever about what they run, must yapping is through bad entering isnt it,but there again wouldnt get a fox hound cross either.I or most other people woundnt expect some one to run a dog with those faults.But you wouldnt need to be searching the earth to get a pup that would do that job i would have thought. I dont now if you are giving me a wind up.I was takeing hare and fox for a long time before the ban.And had some of the best dogs in my area to do it one on one or as some people would say solo.atb. I get what your saying, but you seem to be talking about a totally different thing to coneycatcher, he is on about your average lurcher lad whos main sport is rabbits, how do you know (IF YOU CARE) that you have the best rabbit catcher. I would go bitch every time,loyal and once there hunting that's all they want to do,As a example take em to a park they will want to hunt the squirrels or rats. Dogs will want to sniff around marking territory ect. Its true a lot of people don't run there bitches when in season because of the fat thing, but i run mine through when your dogs run enough you should take it home in season or not.The way i understand it a running dog is at its fastest and strongest at 3. I find mine to be at there best in there 3rd or 4th seasons hunting and they know how and when to use there speed and know all t

Its always the good dog lads that have the good dogs, If this was down to the breeding are these people just lucky, again and again,and the lads that are out working pups well under a year old unluky again an again, course not. My second lurcher was a 2 year old when i got her from the local expert lurcher lads, i was her 3rd owner. It took 1season to get her right,and ended up being best i ever owned, she died of old age. I get more of a thrill thinking of how i pulled that bitch out of a shit life, than training any pup since.
