  1. Pups should be out and about with ferrets from a early age,They know countryside, rabbits, how to behave ect, long before there ready for lamping. If you have a pup thats old enough for lamping that hasn't been out ferreting yet you've missed a trick in my opinion.
  2. Good on you The only wait my dog know is when the misses treads on its paw.

  16. If thats the electric stuff,Heard its expensive enough to run. You cannot just turn it on for half hour like a rad. Insulation is key with all underfloor, without lots your pissing in wind.
  17. Even then, you can give the dog a pat when he comes back from hes 5th miss on the trot, but a dog picks up you aint happy ,you soon end up with strained relationship. Unless you know the dog person you cannot judge. You certainly cannot believe given time it always ends in fairy tales. When you know you know simples.

    The Hard Way

Dont like to see groups of lurchers working my self tbh. But lurchers do like one anothers company if i had 2 kennels and 2 dogs they would still share one,if it suited them, and ive never had any yet it didnt.
  19. If you buy in a dog to lamp rabbits and find out it either physically carnt catch them, or mentally doesn't want to,The owner should give up take up another sport simulated coursing agility or move hes family to another part of the country where rabbits are slower? Come on. When i leave school,I would like to become a professional footballer,Trouble is im sh*t, can any one train me to be one? Should i write to fifa and get them to change the rules so its easier for me to play?

    The Hard Way

Thanks mate It's important to me also that I'm the leader too. I have to be or I'll be in trouble with this lot. The idea of a neutral Pack is something I never really thought possible because by the very nature of a canine they will be a dominant or submissive in varying degrees. Wild animals seem to be able to tell from urine ,sex strength condition of others they have never met. Always going to be a hierarchy imo,Much better work with it than fight it,as long as its not bullying or aggressive behaviour,Some are passive others are born leaders better for the dogs to know there

    The Hard Way

Boredom,Lack of hunting,Lack of discipline, to fit ,bitches fight nearly as much would have thought. Found lurchers quite happy to live together to be honest, never had a problem. Terriers different though, terrier with a lurcher is going to end very badly very quickly because of size difference. If you work a wood for 10 years then your dog hit a tree and killed its self would you never work it again,Or just accept it as a risk of something that could happen? Personally have kept a terrier with a lurcher but you know its a big risk. Always kept lurchers together 2 to a kennel and would s
  22. In ireland where there is a lot of health insurance,Hospitals are charging 1500 a night for a bed . Lads can actually go to europe have there op and combine it with a hoilday for less than having it done in hospital next door to them. All the time premiums going up and up.
  23. Sounds to me like you will end up paying what you would have done for original operation without insurance? Personally have house, life, health, liability, car insurance,Just cannot bring my self to get insurance for dog especially when you know its just a meal ticket, for greedy vets and insurance companies. Ive had plenty of bad luck, Non could have really been helped by insurance,Vets always gave me straight answers "it wont run again" "You might have a dog that will do a bit go lame and need rest" Would i have got same answers if they knew they could make a few grand Hope your dog pulls th
