Yes 8 has been burned on my retina reading this thread,If a dog has digested a meal at 9 10 in morning and needs to be ready to run again at 9 10 that night it leaves a short window to get the next feed in. Yes gaz i am otherwise i wouldnt do it, have you tried it or just following the crowd. Now where have my dogs been called Superior? Now please...weres the no food coming from. Somtimes however the dogs working means it strictly speaking hasnt been feed with in 24 hours. If my dog is lamping 4 5 nights a week i will be at work long before its finished digesting its last meal,Even if i could, i wouldnt be feeding it again till after next session. If that ended a short session or it ended up not going it would be under 24 hours. Any one saying that aint enough food as a FACT is talking sh*T..imo If however they want to say they dont do it that way i wont be upset,and i wont be changing what works for me.. It really is

My little 6 year olds in bed now,when there up i will ask to explain. Heres one for the scientists a dog digests its meal in8 hours,lets presume this is a normal dog,but a lurcher during winter could be eating 2 or 3 times that ,still take 8 hours ? If im lamping tonight dog gets back fed at 1 its digested it 9 tuesday at the very earlist , would it need to be feed again to go out tuesday night?

Ive thought i werent going lamping and fed at 8 by 10 the winds blowing ive set my alarm for 3 and gone out,Wouldnt want to do it all the time,but needs must, one thing for sure dog didnt run any better or catch any more. If i know im going to ferret i feed at 8 thats 12 hours. Point is you can feed 8 hours if you want,that dosnt make you or dog any clever better or what ever. Point being lads think there dog going lamping is working harder than a wolf thats trying to survive in freezing temps day in day out. There fore it stands to reason you dont have to rush home and feed your dog 8 hours (think thats how long it takes) before you can take it lamping.When its feed well and been lay in a warm kennel. Feeding every 24 hours is daily isnt it apperantly that aint enough though. But seriously are all the fox hound packs doing somthing wrong so how can they cover what 50 mile in a day having not eaten the day before,twice a week.
