  1. Said in the sun today he was going to work with Tony Sims training youngsters
  2. Eddie Hearn has just said that if Martin wants it on the 9th of April he can have it...Charles Martins people said last week they would be willing to fight Joshua over here for the IBF belt...so could well be on...if no one prices themselves out...straight for the title is a bold move for Joshua...but at least this would be pay per view worth...cant blame em...Martin looked poor when he won the title...BUT...he is a southpaw...and Joshua looked bad against southpaws in the amateurs and was put on his arse with a left hander from Whyte...and wobbled from the same in the British title fight...so
  3. i never liked him or his style neither, they all seemed to train that way coming from the Brendan ingle camp, another few twats from that camp was junior witter, and johny nelson, god was he frustrating to watch, unfortunately for naseem his style suited barrera, the more naseem threw them wild swinging punches, berrera being a good counter puncher, the more he got caught, brilliant to watch, i did enjoy him losing, Ingles style of fighting was really Herol Grahams style of fighting imo...Nelson i always found a bit boring to watch...but didnt think Witter was a bad kid...would liked t
  4. Whyte reminds me of a young Chisora...id fancy Whyte to beat him...thought Chisora was a sideways move for Joshua to be honest...think A.J would of stopped him...no way would a Joshua-v-Chisora fight of been pay per view worthy...thought they would of taken him the British Euro title route...but Charles Martin looks so piss poor maybe they going the IBF route...thats maybe achievable for Joshua...but i still belive when he steps up to the likes of Ortiz, Povetkin, Haye, Klitschko and Fury he will get stopped...just my opinion
  5. Chisora's just signed to fight Pulev so he's out the equation...Takam or Jennings maybe??...would still like to see him in with Parker...two up and coming prospects
  6. Slim Whitman... Indian love call...the old man would blast that out at full volume on the radiogram on a sunday morning...some f***ing hellish yodeling country and western song...they used it to kill the aliens in mars attacks...always makes me laugh when i hear it now
  7. I think winning Olympic gold was always gonna put him in the lime light mate, no avoiding it I'm afraid dosnt stop them going the traditional route british title an few defences then european title with bit luck in couple years he be fit for anybodyNot denying that mate, my point was his profile was huge before he even turned pro, he was a house hold name. Not many turning pro have that burden... ...Audley Harrison same hype...early fights on tv...and then......
  8. I think winning Olympic gold was always gonna put him in the lime light mate, no avoiding it I'm afraid Exactly look what happened to David price bronze at the Olympics . Hyped up. was never ready for Tony Thompson . Or Erkan Teper...was he not ready or was the lad just chinny??...but still not right to have his career ruined by a couple of drug cheats...be ironic if Joshua got to knock him out aswell
  9. That would be the next logical step imo...but i dont think Chisora will last as long as Whyte did...hes been on the slide since Haye beat him...would like to see Joshua in with the young Joseph Parker
  10. Ol for crying out loud are you another one of these temperamental types who cant have a discussion without thinking they are being attacked.....do you go down your local dry cleaners all tooled up " just incase " !..........its just a natter about boxing pal dont get excited. Ive said for years an Olympic medal in the amateurs is a burden in the pros as the spotlight is on you from day 1.......the plus side is instant money the negative side is instant expectation.............but at the end of the day a young prospect is just a young prospect and must be treated like one.....i brought Dean
  11. Why would i be putting a spin on anything.....good matchmakers like Dean Powell god rest his soul were worth their weight in gold as they could envision fights and seek out the perfect opponent to bring a prospect along,an opponent who is a test without being a danger......Dillian Whyte was the perfect fight for Joshua at this stage of his career as he learned more in that fight than the previous 14 put together....but still looked good in victory.....thats good matchmaking. Not sure where your going with this or why your bringing the late Dean Powell into it?...Whyte was the Mandat
  12. Who knows how good Whyte or Joshua is they are both young prospects i dont understand this urgency to know how good a fighter is now, immediately this minute......its like putting a 10 month old dog in a big race to find out how fast he is because you dont have the confidence in your eye for a dog to invest time in it........its just basic bad handling. The Urgency as you put it has been put upon the lad by his management by making all his Fights pay per view...they cant bring him along slowly now...they need him in with a name that will make the figures for pay per veiw
  13. I dont have a problem admitting i thought Joshua would do him in 3 rounds....as it turned out Whyte was a worthy opponent at this stage of Joshuas career so thats good matchmaking. Now,if im wrong i apologise but are you not the guy who predicted Whyte would knock Joshua out ? Yes i predicted Whyte would stop Joshua...hands up to that one...in fact i predicted he would catch him with a left just like he did in the amatuers...just as he did in the second round...without the shoulder injury i have no doubt he would have stopped him...but you win some ya lose some...still i rate Whyte...
  14. Your deluded and now nout about boxing Aj will be lost running after fury like a lost sheep while fury is jabbing him at will Fury is the worst technical boxer I've ever seen and even richard dunne was better than him, enjoy your short time in the sun butterfly, I hope we see a better Klitchko in the rematch as even an old man half fit will put fury to bed early, PluckyThen why didn't Wvlad do it in the first fight he isn't going to learn new tricks at 40 year old after fighting a certain way over the years I would say yet another betting scandal, this is where the big syndicates make
  15. Saw the Mansour-v-Breazeale fight too jeemes...seeing a 43yr old 6 ft 1 man put a 6 ft 7 kid on his arse made me think of what Haye could do to Joshua given half the chance...which is why Hearn will do evertything to see that fight dont happen...funny how all the experts that predicted Joshua would walk through Whyte within 3 rounds...now hail him as a tough test...when in reality he struggled with a domestic level fighter...who came close to stopping Joshua in the 2nd...despite carrying an injury in his left shoulder and being not fully fit being back 12 months after a two year lay off!!!...h
  16. Laing was talented for sure...but i got little sympathy for those that piss away a god given talent...no matter how many excuses they give...Bunce makes out that Laing beat Duran and just disappeared...but he fought on for a decade after losing a bunch of times...but saying that you cant take the Duran win away from him...it makes a great story...reminds me of Dicky Eckland...in my opinion Lloyg Honeyghan was by far the better Welterweight at that time.
  17. aint done bad though pal as he? Dont forget aj made a meal of whyte, whyte as a very wild style and should have been easy meat for aj. Joshua's very stiff and upright...flat footed with poor stamina...he certainly dont have the fluid motion and slick skills of Fury...or even Haye...that right hand drifts down while he's constantly looking to load up them power shots leaving him wide open...Hearn will keep him well away from Fury and Haye for as long as he can
  18. Your right fury will school aj he'll give him a boxing lesson aj won't get near fury all that power useless unless he can connect Are you not getting the meaning of schooling? i.e. a good lesson? Fury vs Klitschko 1 was one of the most boring tedious fights I've ever had to watch. You couldn't give me a ticket to watch the rematch. A win. Yes. A schooling? Far from it. Thought it was a slick come back from young cushty lol...Fury-v-Klitschko 1...was a good Lesson in how to win 3 world titles and make a few million thats for sure
  19. Haye did fight the better of the two brothers. if ever Haye did fight fury , you could put your house on it haye would ko fury . fury will be hard to beat with his reach and height, but haye would just work him from the inside with powerful body shots then bingo get him. as said if it ever happens I reckon this is what will happen when it does Haye didnt manage to do that to Klitschko when he had the chance...so cant see him doing it to the man that beat Klitschko...certainly wouldnt put my house on it
  20. After reading about it on here we watched it on Netflix...my gut feeling is he was guilty...the local old bill where dodgy...but i think he done it
  21. An old mate of mine passed away last year...he used to brew a good drop of Norfolk Cider...'Jonty's early night' and Jonty's red sky where both award winners...im also partial to a ice cold pint on a summers evening of st. Heliers pear cider
  22. As Fury is contracted to have a re-match with Klitschko you can bet its in that contract that neither can fight anyone else before then...title or otherwise...if my memory serves me right it was roughly 6 months between the Lewis-v-Rahman rematch... so maybe thats a standard time limit in a rematch clause...despite the outcome of the last fight...i dont think Klitschko should be taken lightly
  23. Fury will probally make more money in Germany or maybe the rematch clause was contacted to Germany again If its to be in Germany must be a clause in the re-match contract like you say...a Champ should have his first title defense on home turf...and not give any sort of advantage to the game playing Klitshchko's
  24. Shane Mcgowan...with his new teeeth
