  1. If we're going to move past all this then naming and shaming isn't going to help. When someone drops the tone I point it out there and then. So what? Never mind then? We just let this shit continue? It's dragging the site down and you know as well as I do in real life when the c**ts and wankers come out then consequences aren't far following. It's pathetic, resorted to far more frequently than would be in real life and wrecks the site as a result. It has nothing to do with 'feelings' or "well ive been called stuff before so its alright for me to do it to others". Its about holding
  2. Nonsense, I've been called all sorts and I've never even flirted with such accusations. I'd be ashamed of myself. It's a basic level of respect. You don't result to calling someone a c**t or wanker etc because they sit the other side of the fence to you in a debate.
  3. The problem is much greater than that. Calling people c**ts, wankers, twats etc should not be tolerated, ever. I don't care what the supposed justifications are, it should never be tolerated.
  4. Before I’m accused of anything childish I’d like to say I don’t want to be a mod. I’ve no patience for the shit they have to put up with. But thank you. I also agree with your Charts nomination.
  5. Odds on there are bans being handed out before this thread hits double digits! LOL
  6. I think that’s very reasonable. For a long time you mods have been very lenient on enforcing the rules, probably not wanting to be too ruthless and take the freedom out of the site. I imagine it’s a tricky path to walk, especially when some of the offenders may be mates. But recently things have really deteriorated and a bit of a stamp down is needed. You’ve given fair warning.
  7. It's f***ing sad to see that sort of thing. I remember seeing similar in Grantham on the streets. Still, nothing a bit of water boarding wouldn't fix.
  8. Arguably the most useful dog I've had was a cross bred black terrier bitch. She didn't have any amount of breeding behind her but she was the sort of terrier you could take anywhere. I got her off a mate who did a bit of all sorts with his terriers. She was a fantastic beating and rough shooting terrier, naturally steady and a retriever. Obviously lacked the endurance and strength of a spaniel making up for it with nose and thinking. She basically jibbed on earth work at about two but then some time later (three maybe) became a steady dedicated fox dog. She was never a decent earth dog but a d
  9. What did it used to be then? Never caught a Bass, so never needed to know.
  10. Who's got a pension? Do we not think that dropping the investment potential of corporations will hit your pension? There's millions of examples like that that will playout all over the economy. We all end up paying for it one way or another. The only difference Sunak's budgets make is how much and how long...
  11. I feel sorry for those who lost their jobs because their company didn't entertain furlough. Like many of my colleagues.
  12. I think everyone has been at it, from one man bands up tbh. I don't blame them, you take what you can. No one wants to applaud the likes of Tesco though who voluntarily said they'd pay all their half a billion iirc in tax relief back because they did so well. We've got a bit of a backward attitude in this country where anything big is inherently evil and anything small is inherently good, no matter their actions.
  13. I think I read 50k So it won't hit the little guy I don't think.
  14. I've got to be honest, my heart bleeds..... I'm sure non of them have been rinsing what they can off the state for the last 12 months while working full time.... LOL
  15. I'd say it would indirectly. Same as any business. If we impede their business and profitability then that will ripple through the economy. Specific examples might not be worth worrying about but my point really is that the corporation tax increase is a sweeping increase, not just notorious tax avoiders. When a companies profitability drops their investment potential drops which impacts jobs, remuneration, R&D etc. The more 'removed' a tax is from the individual citizen the harder it is for the citizen to see it's impact on them. Everyone wants 'big business' to pay for everything bec
  16. Most people want it because most people don't think it impacts them. You have to get the tax from somewhere, but 'somewhere else' is usually the answer. We'll see...
  17. Seems like there's a multitude of little things to stimulate the economy with the only real tax increase corporation tax. Proof of the pudding will be whether those little things intended to nurture the economy do in fact mean that you can harvest harder without ultimately damaging it. It's all very well us coming out of this comfy, but if this strategy fails all we are doing is handing down our debts. Time is needed to assess the plan and if it's not showing promise by the next election then I'd hope we make it a big point.... but I'm not hopeful, we'll just palm it off to future ge
  18. I'm a stickler for technicalities! Haha
  19. But if you find yourself in a womb you have a better chance of living than if you find yourself on death row. So.... fake news! Haha
  20. Expensive. I’m glad I went, it was a decent weekend with likeminded mates and nice to experience some other hunting culture, even if I couldn’t understand a word. No way I’d go for a shopping spree though. Window shop, yeah, actual shop, nah.
  21. Fair one mate. I was just generally commenting. I understand there are earth dogs on the continent, they just weren’t represented at the exhibition. But tbh it’s mostly big game Hunter types.
  22. "All of this has happened before, and will happen again"... Leoben, Battlestar Galactica
  23. Now there's a hard lesson in housekeeping! Sloppy.... very sloppy.
