  1. Yeah I remember you showing me that before. It's sometimes quite surprising what our laws allow! But you know that. 22 WSM, I reckon it'd throw a 30-40gr Ballistic tip at around 2'500 ft/s with 450-500 ft.lbs energy. In a nice compact SLR platform it'd be a hell of a truck rifle for a keeper. But I think too much! I wish I could Wildcat and build guns! LOL. Alsone must be right otherwise somebody would've done it....

Gnash, it's only my opinion on what I see but it's an opinion I came to by myself without being spoon fed it by other atheists. So I'll try to answer your questions based on my own thinking... Faith in a god or gods probably doesn't mean the same to every person, I'd agree, but when I say faith I'm trying to draw down to the fundamentals of it. At it's most simple it's the belief in something in the absence of clear scientific evidence. But the belief is there nonetheless because it feels right. I see that simple mechanism in times of hardship has been very beneficial to mankind, as emotio
  3. It's a sad day when the supposed tier 1 MPs get intellectually spanked by a former pop star! Myleene Klass attacks Ed Miliband over mansion ta: http://youtu.be/ad4l60gwY68 Whatever your politics, I shake my head in despair at that man. Nothing hotter than a beautiful woman showing her intelligence! I'm in love.
  4. Tell me how exactly the conservatives are to overturn the hunting act in our parliamentary system? Bearing in mind that we, the electorate, failed to give them a majority government.

Tozer, where the f**k were you 100 pages ago! LOL You're well read on evolutionary biology.

Not one that would satisfy you. Plenty that satisfy biologists though...
  7. Alsone, where? Unless recently amended, it states 22 rf, not 22lr. If I'm wrong then there are half a dozen prohibited 22 magnum SLRs on gun trader! LOL Hence why it would be an interesting caliber.
  8. You're absolutely right about shooting. f**k knows how I overlooked that one. Using stops is common today, never mind years ago. But come on, stopping up for a hunt ain't rocket science.
  9. I'm sure they could engineer a way past that. A super magnum 22 rimmy in an SLR platform would attract attention in this country imo. Though I suspect the Home Office would torpedo it.

"there mass would be infinite, ie everywhere at once"....... Holy shit! To be 'everywhere at once' would require infinite volume not infinite mass. And any sane physicist will tell you no physical quantity is infinite. The very fact it's infinite is what makes it impossible.

Makes me f***ing piss when I hear all these science conspiracy theories. How many of you smoke funny fags, honestly?

Science! LOL. I'm not going over it all again. There are many scientific theories that can rationalise the luck element of this Universe. Somebody isn't retarded for believing in rational explanations.

If you don't understand intimately all of the rational laws of the Universe how on Earth can you say it's a lucky sequence of events? Yet again, god thrives in the shadows of knowledge....
  15. It's a hunting term more than a shooting term, though the two worlds are closely linked, especially back in those days. The evening before a fox hunt meet lads would go out and fill in all known badger setts and fox earths in that bit of country to prevent the hunted fox going to ground. It just involves shovelling loose earth into the holes to block them or "stop" them. Any residents can very easily dig them open again. Of course it doesn't happen any more because of the law on fox hunting but when it was legal it would have been a bit of a ball ache of a job so I imagine a bit of chi
  16. "Don't panick!!!! Don't panick!!!!" They don't believe it's H5N1 strain.
  17. No, I'm not quite so sad as to go around the gun shop with a set of callipers and a clip board. I'm just going off of sporting reviews. If they are more accurate after chopping than before, that makes no conclusion on whether a 16" barrel on a 455 is choked or not. The only thing it does conclude is that something has changed by shortening that improves accuracy.... choking? But that's neither here nor there. I was simply commenting that I'm led to believe from sporting reviews that the 455 is choked in 20" as well as 16" formats. I may very well be wrong.... P.s Good to k

I think when people say "it's a coping mechanism", they're explanation/theory is perhaps a bit misunderstood.... or at least not fully explained. My opinion is that faith is a coping mechanism, theism is an extrapolation of faith which very satisfactorily answers many more of the Universes unknowns. We all have faith, even us atheists, it's part of being human. Faith is simply belief in the absence of evidence, it's belief against probability..... it's absolutely necessary to our survival and in difficult situations it's people that have faith that they'll come good that will stand the bes
  19. For UK licensing someone should really take one of these 'super' magnum rimfire cartridges like the 17wsm and neck it up for a 22..... imo that'd fill an interesting niche being legal in an SLR platform.
  20. Nasher1 I'm not sure that's true of all CZ rimmys, even the 16" 455 barrel is choked. If it was a cut down 20" barrel it surely wouldn't be choked?
  21. Ebola... I remember that...... that was the virus that was going to wipe out the world last month. The one everybody was raving about and prepping to run for the hills from because the men in suits were secretly creating a pandemic to reduce the worlds population....... yeah I remember.

To my mind Fraz, you epitomise the fundamentals of why people follow a religion or believe in a god. It's the "life has no meaning and beauty if there is no god". There's no logical argument behind it just that you prefer the world with a god to one without. Just like I might not be able to truly understand why people like you feel there is a god, you cannot understand the beauty I see in a godless Universe. The Universe without god leaves you feeling very uncomfortable and unhappy and whether you like it or not there are plenty of people who don't suffer from that and actually find it eve
