Yeah I remember you showing me that before. It's sometimes quite surprising what our laws allow! But you know that. 22 WSM, I reckon it'd throw a 30-40gr Ballistic tip at around 2'500 ft/s with 450-500 ft.lbs energy. In a nice compact SLR platform it'd be a hell of a truck rifle for a keeper. But I think too much! I wish I could Wildcat and build guns! LOL. Alsone must be right otherwise somebody would've done it.... -
Gnash, it's only my opinion on what I see but it's an opinion I came to by myself without being spoon fed it by other atheists. So I'll try to answer your questions based on my own thinking... Alsone, where? Unless recently amended, it states 22 rf, not 22lr. If I'm wrong then there are half a dozen prohibited 22 magnum SLRs on gun trader! LOL Hence why it would be an interesting caliber. -

I'm sure they could engineer a way past that. A super magnum 22 rimmy in an SLR platform would attract attention in this country imo. Though I suspect the Home Office would torpedo it. -

It's a hunting term more than a shooting term, though the two worlds are closely linked, especially back in those days. The evening before a fox hunt meet lads would go out and fill in all known badger setts and fox earths in that bit of country to prevent the hunted fox going to ground. It just involves shovelling loose earth into the holes to block them or "stop" them. Any residents can very easily dig them open again. No, I'm not quite so sad as to go around the gun shop with a set of callipers and a clip board. I'm just going off of sporting reviews. If they are more accurate after chopping than before, that makes no conclusion on whether a 16" barrel on a 455 is choked or not. The only thing it does conclude is that something has changed by shortening that improves accuracy.... choking? But that's neither here nor there. I was simply commenting that I'm led to believe from sporting reviews that the 455 is choked in 20" as well as 16" formats. I may very well be wrong.... P.s Good to k

I think when people say "it's a coping mechanism", they're explanation/theory is perhaps a bit misunderstood.... or at least not fully explained. My opinion is that faith is a coping mechanism, theism is an extrapolation of faith which very satisfactorily answers many more of the Universes unknowns. We all have faith, even us atheists, it's part of being human. For UK licensing someone should really take one of these 'super' magnum rimfire cartridges like the 17wsm and neck it up for a 22..... imo that'd fill an interesting niche being legal in an SLR platform. -
Nasher1 I'm not sure that's true of all CZ rimmys, even the 16" 455 barrel is choked. If it was a cut down 20" barrel it surely wouldn't be choked?

To my mind Fraz, you epitomise the fundamentals of why people follow a religion or believe in a god. It's the "life has no meaning and beauty if there is no god". There's no logical argument behind it just that you prefer the world with a god to one without.
