    There's plenty of heirs and spares now for Harry to step away from his duty if he wishes. And tbh I can't really blame him given the weight being a member of that family must be to bare. They claim to want to be financially self sufficient and I respect that. HOWEVER, not consulting the Queen and the Crown first and just announcing it on Instagram is f***ing bad form and speaks volumes imo. I always thought he took after his grandfather HRH Prince Phillip, but now there's definite tones of his father and the Queens uncle, the disgraced King that abdicated.

    I was there in November, before it got real bad. I was sat on the balcony of my hotel room enjoying the morning sun and there were tiny flakes of 'snow' falling. Not enough to dust anything and no smell of smoke but ash nonetheless! I had some meetings 20-30 stories up in the central business district and you got a fantastic view over the city. You could see the haze caused by the smoke. Pretty shit seeing the clips of koalas burning.

    I can be persuaded not to shoot early season birds, as a large percentage of them will be our own native stock which is under threat I believe. But 98% of the annual woodcock bag is composed of migrant birds, which I believe are not under threat. In fact, I read a stat recently that put the global woodcock population greater than the global mallard population! From GWCT Even if we consider our native stock, is it really us (sportsmen) who are the threat or a reduction in suitable habitat and/or climate change?

    Hazel is okay, especially to start off your stick making career but blackthorn is king imo. Other good alternatives to look out for, rosewood (rose hip bush) and hawthorn but I've not personally used either.

    I honestly think 'hunting' woodcock is one of the most magical fieldsports available. In my mind their is a romanticism associated with woodcock unlike any other winged quarry and I hope we don't see the end of it because of well meaning but perhaps misguided conservationists within our own ranks.

    Aye, I've shot deer out to 300 off them without too much fuss. Head shoot rabbit out beyond 100 all day long. For a quick snap shot on a bumped deer in woodland I'll just flick em out as if regular two piece sticks but for anything I have a bit of time on I'll utilise the full quad utility. Folks can spend a ton on sticks if they want, I'm certainly not afraid to part with cash for the right kit, but for my money these ten quid DIY jobies do all that the other shit does, and I don't give a f**k about loosing them.

    Harris is worth the expense, knock offs are shite. Only time I use a bipod is when zeroing. Otherwise I shoot off sticks or prone off the rucksack. Wing mirrors are handy too!

    I was given a LED Lenser about a year or so ago. Flood or spot been, variable pitch of beam and variable brightness. It's decent. I've lamped rabbits with the spot beam for a laugh.

    You're confusing multiple issues just because they have a common factor and you want an outlet for your hate of that common factor. Bombing a mosque etc in Iran will have no positive impact on immigration or immigrant culture in the UK. They're totally separate issues requiring separate policies.
