  1. If you're paying a third of your gross bud I would change your accountant!!
  2. Top stuff bud. Must be nice to have a few rats without getting covered in pig or chicken shit! Love the whips catch up the wall.
  3. They were created from working stock of various types, same as any other sort was. A working knowledge of genetics speeds up the process of producing an even type, rather than just banging any type together just because they work. Now another cat to feck the pigeons...Think what you like about Plummer, some loved him,a lot loathed him BUT-how many men have succeed in producing a distinctive type of terrier that does (or did?) what it says on the tin? In their own lifetime? And his writing, 'borrowed' or not had some sound advice about entering. Now I know the general consensus is that Plummer
  4. True. However, Plummer colour and coat pattern is double recessive and if the patt used is self coloured, all pups will also be. Unless the patt used carries recessive genes for such markings. Which would mean that there is russell or similar in its ancestry. Thats what I mean by "pure patt".
  5. No expert but I do have a basic grasp of mendels law of segregation. If an animal carries one dominant gene,it will display that genotype. Self colour is dominant. Unless the patt has recessives from other breeds,eg russell,so not pure patt.
  6. Had one move in under my ferret hutch! chewed a small hole under the nest box and nicked some bedding ffs. Some balls... Didnt last long when the terriers got wind though..
  7. Can't say you've handled a trap unless you've had "Hands-in" experience :D I was putting a non-triggered dufus in my bag so I thought "Best trigger it before I reach in catch my fingers". Set one side off and then flipped it round thinking "Safety first Hutch" instead of watching where my fingers were that were holding the trap and as i pinged the other side i quickly realised by the sharp streak of pain that shot through my index finger I was holding it with my index finger right between where the the two loops sit at the top so it got sandwiched. That was a lesson learned for life as
  8. I have bred every type of hybrid except this one so its lets wait and see what the pups are like, I would think that a few would carry the red colour but their coats will be interesting, you may well get a long linty coat, I suppose it depends on how the parents were bred,on the Plummer side it depends on if its "NEW" blood with plenty of bull or "OLD" blood from poor lines, a bit more info or pics would be nice, I would think the beddy would add leg to what can already be a leggy type, suck it and see is the answer,WM
  9. Ayup the village is missing an idiot...get yourself back there foxbolter before they notice...
  10. Wasp wand is good and half the price of the xl8.

  12. A farmer round my way (not at all trained), used ali in a hay barn for rats a few years ago and burnt it to the ground nearly taking the adjacent house with it! He didn't realize that when phosphene reaches a certain concentration it will spontaneously combust...
  13. I think the idea is to nominate or mention someone else. "Someone else" isn't in his vocabulary...
  14. Nice one. Not many stories involving the arsepca end up like this.
  15. How would you rate your 'naughty boy'? Rake? Also why has Hancock gone down the beardie/border stud route. I know he does straight border pups but the majority of pups are from the 'naughty boys'. He must have bred hundreds from the naughty boys now. Has anybody on here got one? Can you give an assessment of it? Hancock had a beardy/border stud in the 80s richard jones. Also taffy 1/2 grey 1/4 border 1/4 beardy. The one I had was out of taffy Did it make a decent dog tomo? It was just starting to catch on the lamp,,was only a year old or just over ,,,it got distemper and had to be pts...
