Yes mate, these northern pollock fight a lot harder than those southern softies ...........a bass from up here is my next mission. Coastline is very bassy but not a sniff so far and believe me I have tried everything

You won’t be disappointed mate, just need to wash the salt off properly .......well Lady Luck was on my side again tonight .......out for an hour and mission accomplished, homemade fish and chips for tea tomorrow....

It was a cast of sorts, not sure what you would call it but am going to practice it again in an hour when the tide is just right. A chap with the appropriate tackle can always find a fish in these parts ..

Sadly not mate, not enough water to get my stoats tail twitching round our neck of the woods. This one from up north and straight out of a tidal pool

Food of the gods Arry, the fillet is coated in salt, sugar and whisky (and some dill) wrapped in cling film and left for a couple of days in the fridge with a weight on it. Wash the salt/cure mixture of it and it’s ready to eat. Did a side last year and it was bloody good

Nice one mate, glorious time of year this....got a pied wagtail feeding young in garden and a pair of spotted flycatcher looking to be building outside the kitchen window.

They grow quickly mate, always amazes me. Found a couple of these on the Leyburn road today, moved them into the field....parents were going crackers......
