    What makes you think the hares will settle where you release them? Lancs is pretty flat where the hare used to abound and bringing hares from east coast is rolling hills until you get down to Anglia, so a lot different terrain to what they were used to. How many hares are you after relocating? more than 6 and gatenets wont be an option I've been netting hares when we have had up to 6X 100yds nets in a line, with 15 men to remove and box the hares, then theres the beaters, the more the merrier (had mornings out and all the kids in a village(well known coursing village)have been brought along

    keep me informed lads.... ive got a load of gate nets and some where 100m of 5 inch longnets made for hares...but must stress some where.... and a good springer spaniel... gate net the spot up day or night and we will be cooking on gas...ive got a crate hear for them too

    blast from the past this....when i was a lad i used to try and use them and the four in a bag pound land traps for moles set as you say but dammed if i even caught one!.................. untill i cut a strip of 14 inch mesh so it was like teeth and attached it to the snapping arm and caught ONE in months of trying...and that was my first mole....unless you count the "ferreted" mole but thats a another story

    at the farm i put my dogs out to "weather" dureing the day...saves em being stuck in the kennel and lets em see the world any how.. i use a 2 ft 2sq pacing slab real thick like and ive just got a eye bolt thru the center of them with a big washer on top and bottom and my 3 or 4 run round and round all day long......i use a slab incase i have to move em die to daily happenings

    mr wilk...are you not too far from this area? i have a load of gate nets i could drop down with...if a ferw more could or would be intrested in helping with?

    just think...if you had a couple miles of forestry fenceing and a couple dozen good runs....and the 3 day checking rule that some of the usa have....and a hand full of bigger body grips.....one can but dream

    intresting thread...... ime shy and quiet.....the few who have met me from hear will know why and because i dont or cant say much folk think ime a dumb bitch....how wrong. i have a very strict set of opinions on a lot of things..but if yours are diffrent with mine then good for you who am i to say otherwise. and i have a terrible fault of attracting broken women! with all kinds of f***ing problems.....jeasus H f***ing christ...ime fed up with it.....its true what they say about nice guys come last ime going to start being a c**t and see if that helps.......

    Probably something to do with the law I would have thought. Kites are harmless scavangers and suggesting that hunters should go around randomly killing protected wildlife only plays into the hands of the Antis. shite..........

    Not being funny, this thread along wth your other one about killing everything in sight makes me think you see the countryside as nothing more than your playground to nip off into now and again to pop a few rabbits with the air gun.. People have to make a living off it, and that includes keeping pest numbers down and protecting investments. It inevitably means killing things. The countryside you know and enjoy is the way it is because of the way it's been managed, it's been the same for hundreds of years.     Think they are breneke's Pete brenneke are imo the best slugs to use.. they have the wad attached and can be loaded with a normal loading tool and are very very ecurate and can be used thru a full choke...imo the go to slug
