  2. Did you not notice the equipment the prick was useing????????? if you can't get near enough to take a clean shot with a proper rifle, then don't bother. now hold on one moment diffrent peoplr get diffrent things out of the sport they follow if its shooting long range that he likes then so be it. he seems to have done his homework and is good at it too theirs no cruelty or suffering gone on their is their? who are we to say thats not on, its like me saying ban ferreting because i like snareing and longnetting tthe rabbits. granted i like stalking up to 50yrds of a roe buck on a summers ev
  3. why is that not on then ? 90% of shots on deer are to the heart and lungs and verry few of them drop to the sport you need to hit the spine or head to do that so most will run have you shot many deer?
  4. if it was a good shot it will be dead with in 100yrds and it looked open country their too and by the time you have walked 800yrds its gone have stiffend up and will have passed out due to blood loss
  5. you cant take water fowl with any gun fireing a single projectile and it would be going agenst the lead ban too

  7. any good stalker will graloch a deer as soon as posible well saying that any good stalker wont arse end one!! if its not shot too far up its only the skirt that will be buggard maybe the chump if its hit well back if you can pop the leggs of at the rear goint the take the ribs of inbetween the 6th and 7th then work your way down untill you start hitting damaged or green meat as long as you aviod the nasty bits it will be fine hope this helps if not just ask
  8. when you look thru the scope after the reacoil has taken you off target and you see that ginger fellow sprawled out,, when you hear the guns saying how good that drive was knowing its your birds that make it happen, sat behind a gate listenig to the drumming of the dog and hare as he brings it to the gate net, the cry of geese at 5 am as they come off their beds, walking to a snare to see foxey strung right next to your pheasant pen i dont know about you all but just being out and about doing what i love does it for me
  9. it not only depends on how god a shot you are but the shot you have in at the time i have a 3/12 inch mag semi outo that will take 66gram of copper coated number 2 thru a half choke i can kill foxes out to 50-60 yrds but no more if its 32grm num6 your useing when rough shooting dont shoot past 20yrds and always aim for the head/chest
  10. the other thing i have found with them is when your setting them and they go off they have a nasty habbit off the safty catch going with the latch so the trap springs ive had a few close misses. but all the rabits i do get in them are well caught and stone dead

  18. it was never going to be long untill this was shot down. your snares want to be around 23 and a half inch long althou i like mine 24. the wire tealer has the bounus of an incorparated swivel that should help make your snare last longer take a look at the snareing sections on the front page mate lots and lots of sound advice their
  19. well done! to stop the runs caveing in try to use a small spade or trawel(spelling) and dig dowm eather side of the run and lever the turf up so the blade of the spade doesent do thru the run but eather side of it then smooth off the run sides with your fingers and that should help but some times you will only ever find one side to the tunnel not to shure why this is but it will happen
