i use the thin fencing wire its only around 1 mil. you may have tried to do it with the 3 mil. wich as you say. is dificult to bend

whats the job stork, working on a game farm. if so good luck fella reared pheasants myself at welbeck estate about 25 years ago . very hot summer . worked like a b*****d for 3 months 6am till very late . it was a big wake up call to whats involved with keepering. we still had some birds reared the old way under broody hens. and they had to be moved evry day on to fresh grass. as well as doing all the cleaning out evry day . and the head keepers dogs , i also had to mo all his fecking lawns he sure was a b*****d that head keeper.

ferreted plenty of drains , provided you know both ends, the easyest are the ones , where there is a little bridge to allow tractors in a field . these are some times only 5-6 metres or so . if you have a thumb stick/walking stick tie a length of cord round it ( so you can pull it out) and throw/slide it along the pipe it often flushes the rabbit out the other side

i try to keep small to medium sized ferrets , and have had a few of what i call greyhound ferrets over the years. the ones i call greyhound ferts are medium sized very lean humped backed and allways on the go, running round the court on the wheel. or when working no messing straight in . i have never found that they cant do a full days work. now here is one big advantage with smal ferts. firstly you can get more in one carying box, i can get 6 in mine . its one of simmon w boxes. i can also get 3 in my little single box where as you would be hard pressed to get 1 big hob

go round the markets fella, theres loads of stalls now adays selling bits for those disabled scooter thingys. you can get a 12 volt 18 amp drycell gel baterie for about £20 and the little 12 volt 7 amp ones for under a tenner. at melton mowbrea cattle market on tuesdays , there a chap who sells hunting stuff . he has 12 v 7am batteris for £5 and the big 12v 18 amps for £15
