there is no difinitive answer mate. some hares prefer to lie up in the hedges or in woodland. others in there forms in the centre of fields. weather can play apart to, if you have fields that are uneaven or rise up slightly, the hare will often lie here getting out of the wind and weather. but dont forget the woods, copses and rough set a side. one place i used to have the coursing rights on was like this . and i was for ever telling people i had invited to walk the rough. cos most of them just wanted to walk the centre field. after they seen a few dozen get up in set a side

YOU COULD TRY HOOP SNARING THEM ON THE FENCE LINE OR PUT SOME POLES UP IN THE TREES WITH HOOP SNARES ON. I WILL JUST POINT OUT HERE THAT I HAVE NOT YET TRYED THIS METHOD BUT. bullsmilk i dont think you realise just how small the moles tunnel is . there not much bigger than a mouse hole. also there is a not much oxygen down there. bit of yousless info for those that are intrested in moles. did you know they have twice as much blood in there bodies as similar sized mammels. the reason is to carry the very little oxygen they get around there bodies

there are already a lot of good answers here. WORM IT. thats most important . it also could be somthing else wrong, so go to a vet if your not sure. but if its none of these FEED THE FECKER MORE. its that simmple dont know why folk are saying chicken and fish. there alright a couple times a week . but if i wanted to put wight on it . use beef and lamb + loads of fat. also suet. also you could feed it twice a day. like skycat said. make sure its warm -
i was talking to the fella at the midland last year. he was sharing a stall with brinded, who does the longnets. got to say i liked his boxes, realy liked the triangular shaped bow backed poachers box. this one fits neatly under your coat, its small just big enough for 2 small ferrets or one large one.
