Solid, sensible post that mate Agreed wilf,,, good post P.... It's something I try to do as well, lots of Dogs have shortcomins ,, but most lads won't admit to others, in fact they won't believe it themselves . You can often work round faults,, just have to think different and work to the dogs strengths.

just out of curiosity, what would of happened if you took chase??? could the dog jump? my worry would not be for myself, it would be for my dog..... fair enough if i got a beating, rather that than have my dog shot. What do you mean jump?,,,,, As in can it jump a five bar gate or Sumthing,,, or a rabbit netting fence,,, then no and yes,,, but most small spaniels wil find away through. As for being chased,,, never happend we were to good Lol

Yeh good program that charts,, it's funny watching them films,,, it always makes me wonder how our yank cousins can kill them,,, I honestly don't think I would want to,, mind I would proberbly be soft with coyotes as well,, they just look to much like dogs to me... Don't get me wrong , I understand the need if it's pest control ,, or some rouge ,, I just wouldn't like to do it

I've never had bother off them,, the ones I've met have always been polite and interested,,, in fact I had one old boy stand and watch for half an hour,,, luckily everything went well , and he was very fortunate to watch a dozen rabbits bolt , and be secured by the long net circling the warren I was ferreting.

I didn't think rabbits recovered from mixi? I thought once they had it it's game over? No mate some rabbits can recover,,, they are usually left a bit lumpy and bumpy,,, in fact I always think it a shame when I catch such a rabbit,, would be far better left alive passing on its amunity . I always wonder though,,, if we didn't kill mixys ,, and preditors didn't kill them,,, how many more would get over it,,,,,, or in fact does the diesise actually kill that many,,, are the majority killed by preditors -
Can't understand why a lot of you are saying get the land first,,,,,,, surly get the ferrets first and see if you actually like owning them, they may not take up as much time as dogs can ,,, but they still need handling daily , feeding, cleaning ect,,, So yeh get ferrets first,,, and see if you like owning them

What Leveler said,,, I started on there back in 03,, met some good guys from there, also back in 05 and 06 there was a good 2 day show ran ,, met plenty good members there. Yeh a good site, just a shame it's not moving anymore..

If you saw the begging ,, there was a lime tree, that was in separate clumps each one a few feet apart in a circle,, similer to a ring of fungus ,,,, but it was one tree that had been coppiced for 2000 years,,,aparantly it had been DNA tested to prove it was one tree,, facanting stuff
