Palus not evry hare shoot was for money,,,lots of estates youse the hare shoot as a beaters day,, I know cos I have been on a few as a gun,,,,, and I freely admit to loving it... Yep,,, just the yank name for a lurcher,,, and the ozy one come to that,,, and some travellers call lurchers stags,, or stag hounds.
