Do you know how they are bred tomo? you wouldnt be dissapointed, a bloke once said to me if your a rugby player and all the fans hate you,,,,,,,then you "must be a good un" as noone gives a feck about your joe average players,,,,,,,,,,,,WELL MINSHAW'S ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.....................! Do you know of any well worked racey minshaw dogs that's done a good few seasons graft an up for stud? I know I aint askibg much haha Mate there shrouded in mystery,,, I d

    Shark

Oh and I forgot to mention,,, back then it was believed that the only place great whites bred was in the medderterainian,,,lol

    Shark

dont know how true it is, they reckon few great whites have been in these waters Make's perfect sense to me, they like cold water and eating seals. I'd imagine some would be living off the coast of Cornwall. My mum caught a blue shark on her honeymoon in southern england, a good size too. We also get Mako and Porbeagle amongst others. dont know how true it is, they reckon few great whites have been in these waters Make's perfect sense to me, they like cold water and eating seals. 8. Ile pm you some,,, mind ile have to take some first,,, ile take the camera out in a short while
  9. So do I to be honest,, I start them doing both,, letting them hunt up daytime,, and lamping as well,, so long as recal is done
  10. Yes kps. Her daughter was barking at the fence at 7 this morning ,,, I went out and looked,, and on the other side of the fence on the neighbours garden was a wood pigeon ,,lol. Little fecker was marking it though. And last week she had been out for a few hours on the garden,, I went out to bring her in,, and there were pigeon feathers everywhere ,,, but I didn't find a body,,,weather she had ate it I don't know..lol
  11. By the way in the first post iwas referring to long netting rabbits,, not hares,,,,, and GATE netting hares, there's a good bit of difference between the two
  12. A good few years ago now,, proberbly around 12 or 15 year ago,,, but in all honesty I wasnt netting them in traditional nighttime way with a gate net,,, I used poke nets on runs in plantations ,, and let the old dog hunt up. But there's nowt wrong with netting hares, so I can't see what your getting at,,, poaching and pot hunting is different to coursing,,, I love to see a dog running a hare,,, but using a bit of field craft to secure old puss can be very rewarding... Don't you start turning in to a " only way for a hare to die is by a dog on fair slip"
  13. Lol mate, tricky one that. They Definately know the difference between them. Had a collie cross that got picky on rabbits but a hare 3 parks away, it was off lol. Yeh it was off,,, but still couldn't catch it................

I thought you were a big fella lab,,, 85 kilo is a lightweight ,, IDE love to be just a 100 kilo, that would do me
  15. I notice this b17 is in apple seeds,,,,, interestingly ,,, so is a substance like arsenic ,,, years ago a woman was done for attempted murder ,,, she was crushing up apple seeds and putting it in her husbands food,,, he became more and more ill. Aparantly though you need a fair bit to actually kill someone though

    Define Murder

Stop wasting your breath lads,,, you can't educate some folk,,,
  17. Yeh I would proberbly give it a go if I had it,,,,, however a mate of mine who I used to go coursing with,, his mate got cancer and he tried this hemp oil,,,, but sadly he still died. I think most of us if we had cancer would try almost any remady or potion ,,, or any other type of therapy,, it's that survival instinct in us,,

5.11' and 18 stone at the mo,,, it's all muscle though
  19. It's amazing the difference in just a few hundred feet,,, a month ago we ferreted a farm in the bottom of the vally,, nearly evry doe was pregnant,, and we had a good number of cockers running around ,, about 4-6 weeks old,, But get up there,, and nothing
  20. Now the easiest form of dog work ,,, has to be catching hares in Scotland ,, I have it on good authority that there all piss easy up there running on tuffty land,, so much so that collie greyhound can catch them....
  21. My thoughts too mate, especially the long net. My dogs don't touch rabbits in purse nets but trying to get them to stop before a long net I just can't master. Lots of bits of broken burned heather about, once the nets been hit by a dog, its a b*****d to unfankle lol to the point I find it pointless carrying the f*****g thing and taking the time to set it up. It would be good to master though on those + holers lol. Do you use one mate and how do you do with it? I do mate,,, I was tought the old way with trad nets ,, at night,, and never used a dog,, Ferreting in the day ,,, yes I use long n
  22. I suppose I better elaborate ,,, both of these disaplins require the dog not to chase in the same way ,, In fact my own point of view is I dowt a long net dog would be better than the human doing the bant,, it might be ok if all you have dropped is 50 yards of web,,, however if you have 2 or possibly 3 hundred yard of nets down,,, then I don't see a dog quartering the hole length of the webs properly. But back to the question,, you have to have a very special dog and relationship with it ,, to get the dog to herd a hare in to the net,, especially the one your sat by,, ok the hare is
