Sounds to me like this big house wants a job doing for free,,, as you say it's only 8 acre,,,and no permission for regular hunting,,,, And of course the person doing this should not have to pay ,, i cant belive you mention this,,,,,In my mind the client should be paying for this work... Cos if no one does this ,,,they will be getting a pest control company in to do it. I hope at least they get a crate of beer ,, or at least a cuppa and a bacon buttie,,, for doing a stranger a favour

I dowt the national trust will just let a few lads get together and try there luck,,, it will go to a professional outfit,, who have experience in this kind of work and all the relevant qualifications,,, not to mention business insurance .. No, you don't. You need good base lines, but breeding lurcher to lurcher, however good they work, is a lottery. It always has been and always willbe UNLESS you know the exact lines of each - but that is more selective breeding than just worker to worker. I despair sometimes of the general ignorance that is shown. I have bred my strain true for over 30 years. Not as a mney maker,just to replace my own dog when needed. If people understood breeding and genetics you wouldnt see so much claptrap as that written in the previous 14 pages. There are some good posts, but you can spot the "I am a b
