    Lol, I think it's a bad thing when they needed to get guys from New Zealand to deal with the rats. You'd think there would be British pest controllers up to the task.It wasn't like they stuck down a few bait boxes. There was a big ariel bait dropping and monitoring programme. A big arial bait dropping ,,,,,,are you sure about that? ,,, cos chucking posion around willy nilly is illegal in this country ,,,yes the do it in nz,,, but not here,,, apart from that the rabbit job has a million restrictions,,, and at the mo one of them is not using ferrets,, because of ground nesting birds,,, so I dowt

    Lots of dogs do it,,, more than the lads on here will let you believe,,my dog does it Venus ,,, also herd a good few coursing dogs do it out on the fens in years gone by when it was legal,, If it bothers you ,, then you have a problem,, if it doesn't then no worries

    Nice one jim,, as you say makes a change,, I did the same for an hour befor work last night,,out at 6.30,, put 4 in the bag,, and one of them old smelly things,,,caching rabbits round here on this seed,, gives the dog a good test,, mist more than she cought,,

    Can never be arsed,,, last time I went was to see G.Waters,, and have a chat,,,, other than that I can't get interested in baitboxes,,or the latest development in Luxan wands or some other tech

    If nothing else,,I think this thread highlights the need to shop around with your choise of vets,,I have used 3 different ones locally after ringing up for prices for different things,,, don't just go to the one you always use out of habit,, especially for things like jabs,,

    Not as good as I first thought then,,,mind it's 56 at our local vet,, so still a good saving

    Good advice as ever from t.c.... Now not everybody is a fan of the Warrener,, including myself,,,however credit where it's due,,,he's done some good filming of nightime longnetting using trad nets ,,,, can't remember wich films,, think it might be ,,old ways of the poacher,, but there another clip on other films as well,, and as tc highlighted,, rabbits can quite clearly be seen to bounce,,,run along and try again at an angle... Good bits of film they are using a night vision

    I think it's plain to see they ain't going to be getting the massive bags that's possible with some lurchers types,,, but they can rattle off enough rabbits for most lads,,, and they can drop a few other bits,,, but there great to watch,, you just have to be sensible ,, I like them great fun dogs

    Vets4 pets,,,have an offer on at the mo,,,vaccination for puppy's only 15 pound,,, just seen an add on the telly,,,, better than the usual 50 quid spot at most vets.

    Yes two dogs,,, but you can only catch what's there,,,and on some of my spots there's a few rabbits,,, the night befor I only had 8 just running local,,,, but in all honesty those 8 local gave me just as much satisfaction as the 41 Venus cought last night,,,

    Me and vin got 57 last night ,,,good night with a good stiff wind for most of the night,,managed to finish by 1.30 -2.00 am for a change

    Sounds horrendous ,,,,beef in a tin,,,,,,,we only eat best fillet in our house.......

    Yeh I had a look local,, just driving the van hedge hoping, pulling in a gate way here and there, down a farm track or two,, Went out at 7 back in at 8.30,, mised plenty ,,but got 8,,,and the wind was blowing hard round here,,, Second night for me ,,, had 48 on Monday night with vin,,, out again tonight..

    Well I was born and brought up in south London and I have managed 40 odd years on the planet without cutting about dressed like a bad Ice T impression !! Lol No you just mince around in a pearly king outfit don't ya,,,,
