Just received Darcy's new book ,,,,now that's what I call lurcher work 3,,,it's the soft back booklet type thingy,,, of course I was drawn to the excellent article at the back of the book about a nights lamping in the north of England ,,,where the soft ,,wet behind the ears author,,has a night out with lean athletic ,,almost machine like rabbit catcher,,,,and his trusted mut....

Rew,,when I was in scouts as a young lad,,,our scout master did the penine way in one go,,, he traveled very light by just having one lightweight change of clothes,,and two sets of underwear,,,he stoped in youth hostels,,,and washed his dirty set of clothes every night,,,

He still bench press your scrawny little arse wi one hand... he deff very strong bloke, ok he used few jabs to help get his size.But he still lift some good weights in training , I watched him in pumping iron vid , and think held record in his country for lifting some heavy stones or something like that lol . but think it fooked him up in later life with heart probs what he got now . I can't understand how people can sit and just film something like that ... I would have to jump out and level things up ....... Not everybody has that kind of mentality though socks,,,maybe the film maker was very young,,or a woman,,,or even some men don't want to get involved,,, I know as a young fella I would have been very likely to have just sat there and froze,,,,that said the ambulance and police should have been called..

That kayak holiday is already 400,,, so that's me out befor I started,,lol,,,but it is a great prize,,,and a worthy cause well done to all biders on all the lots....and as has been said ,,,good on paulus, and TC... I once read a book similar to yours, bout a Welsh bloke who lamped a whole load of foxes as they came to feed on a farm midden pile. Nailed 3 or 4 most night's, so the book said. In the snow too. The action must have been fast and furious as he was rarely photographed wearing a coat. Though it must have been cold, them foxes looked stiff as boards. All done with a 'ol mottled marked cur cross. If I could just remember that books title.... wouldn't he of been some craic on the internet Ooo great shout,,,,,that would a great fun
