    I wonder how much difference there would be treating this job,,,with it being the black rat,,,I remember being on a training course at killgerm in 2003,,,and two other chaps there were from Gibraltar ,,,born and bred,,,aparantly out there the main species was the black rat,,, and they called them tree rats,,,or roof rats,,,,cos they like to climb and be high up,,,,would it make a difference to baiting ?

    There's a number of farms we have permission on up there,,,that is one of them that some good scores came from lamped fields with rock walls few times and you can get good numbers.Lands looks hard to lamp with all the wee hills where the rabbit can go out of sight. Tomo have your dogs had many injury's up there with all them holes??? On the hole ,,,not really ,,,,I've had more problems running flat seeded arable land,,,the soft tilled soil gets in the quiks and is a fecker... Yes up there ,,,there are rocks and uneven ground,,,but in GENRAL,,,the long soft grass is a blessing,,,one other

    Just to be pedantic,,,you mean littondale,,,,cos the original village was arncliffe,,,in littondale ,,spent a lot of time round there in the ,s,,,at one time you could do as you liked round there without hassle ,,,but things changed... As for hawes,,great little town,,,very popular though with tourists and crag rats,,, the chippy there still frys in beef dripping,,as do a few other chippys in Yorkshire dales,,,a few nice pubs,,,with open fires ect...
