Bloody hell that's bad news,,,was there not an autopsy... There's something called secondary drowning,,,aparantly the lungs fill up with fluid or mucus or something after someone has nearly drowned,,,it's some kind of response to water getting in them

This is what I mean about insulation, couldn't a cave be cold in summer because its underground and insulated from the heat? I believe a rabbit warren would be cooler underground than the surface temp in summer and warmer underground than the surface temp in winter. That makes sense to me but Ive never taken thermometers ferreting with me so I cant be 100% lol. OK pie-eater I agree in summer a rabbit warren would be cooler underground ..........in summer so where does the heat come from in the winter when its colder on the surface?Y.I.S Leeview I doubt it's warm underground,,,I just think

Looked a tuff old fooker even in his old age,,,,I seen on a telly program that they used his image especially his Tash ,,in one of them video games,,,one of them shoot up commando style games on PlayStation or something ... Good news they got them back

Think its very hard to say why a ferret has died below ground,,, but its more likely to be through sufercation than cold,,, very low oxygen levels below ground... And the ice they kept below ground was in ice houses,,contsructd of brick or stone,, and covered in earth,,, and they usually kept tones of ice in there collected from the frozen lakes in winter,, part of the reason it stayed frozen was because the way the ice house was constructed,,, and the amount of ice kept there.... Have seen 4 in the last 10 years that were pants,,,and that's 4 out of the 4 hancocks I've seen,,,it's not like I've seen others that were good....sad really.... And 3 out of that 4,,, hardly caught a rabbit,,,they just won't connect with a live running rabbit..
