    nice one gaz,,yeh my kids had the santa call,,and they been following his progress on the net,,,got jason and the argonaughts on telly 5+1 hour,,,mother in law here,,,she wants us to get kfc,,,even though the fridge is bursting...kids are going nuts cos they want mince pies,,quality street,,panatone,,,,in fact anything sweet,,,,but she wont let them till the morning,,,ive sneeked a few out the tin mind... merry chrimbo everyone

    if im honest mate,,and you really think about it,,its a fault,,,she shouldnt really give up her catch,,,she does the same thing with my little brindle bitch bonnie,,,and my terrier,,,we use it to good efect as you can see,,and in some ways im glad she does it ,,as both bonnie and dorris retrive far better with softer mouth,,,but venus is the dominant dog in all respects,,so why she does it im not sure..

    dont do it,,,leave at least 3 in the kennel ,,,you wont have to worry about the howling ,as you wont be there mate no good will come from it..me and vin do some real steep banks,,so steep you wouldnt belive,,some with scree on,,dont use more than two ferrets,,,beter with one at a time,,,put the ferrets in where the dogs mark,,,and stand below the warren (contrary to normal thinking),,,you want the rabit to bolt and see you turn and go up hill,, we have had some reasnable scores on such days,,,our last 3 outings along a big bank ,,we took over 120 rabbits in total,,,,

    them bumps on that bit are strange,,there like a huge molehill thats grassed over,,,,there only sand no rocks i assume there some kind of natural feature,,from when the river formed,,but i suppose they could be from some old farming practice,,,whoo knows,,,its an odd spot i enjoy doing ..

    yeh ,,you dont catch them all with dogs,,,,although i know i dont need to explian anything ,,i think i will,,,,that particular farm is in the vally bottom,,not on high ground with ruff tufty fields,,,,in the vally bottoms the vields are usualy shorter and faster that particular field is a small section of flood plane,,about 200 yard long and 100 at its widest,,,shaped like a rugby ball,,the wall behind ,,theres a river bank imeadeatly behind that wich is a tangle off tree roots,,and boulders,,,alot of the rabbits make for that,,especialy where the gap is that has a bit of sheep netting,,,y

    i made one similar about 25 year ago after seeing one of the first warrener films,,it was made from plastic drainage pipe,,,the spanish make similar ones,,,watch some of the spanish ferreting or podencos working on youtube you can see them sort of boxes
