  1. I cant see the point in threads like this, pictures of dead animals. They all look the same anyway. All its doing is building up the pictures that l.a.c.s ect can stick up on there websites.
  2. Im snowed off work so I am chuft lol
  3. Bugger I thought I was right there. Erm Im out then lol.
  4. The main thing I remember about school is the penis drawing on everyones books. Whenever someone turns around we would draw endless amounds of cocks on there books, bags ect lol. Filling peoples bags with library books so the alarms went off lol. We used to draw scenes of specific teachers bumming ect under the pull down projector blinds so that in the next lesson when it was pulled up it was shown to the class lol. I used to like getting soap on my hands then pretending to sneeze when wipe it on people, was great watching them gag and go spare lol. I hated school when
  5. Ive got a Franchi O/U 12b game gun and I think its an excellent gun. Has really nice furniture and good engraving. I had 6 birds for 8 carts with it on saturdays beaters day  more luck than judgement though lol... My franchi is 20 or so years old but its still tight, the barrels are spotless and I shoot with it well. I cant speak for the newer ones but mine is certainly built to last. I have actually been told that the newer ones arent as reliable but I dont know how true it it. edit....spellings
  6. My boss used to have a tame badger that he dug as a cub (this was pre badger act ) that he has told me about a few times. He had it for a couple of years, he said it was tame but you couldnt really trust it. He ended up shooting it as it became to untrustworthy around his elderly parents and visitors.
  7. Hold the rabbit IN FRONT of the ears, this makes the job a hell of alot easier and quicker. I think most people try it behind the ears and then give up as its alot harder. Ive never got the hang of chining very well, Get the odd screamer. I cant do it as consistant as stretching, so I stick to that.
  8. Buck alpha hunter, I have one and its great, keeps an edge for ages.
  9. Great idea Some diesese ridden dog shit filled fields for walking the dog. Its not exactly hard to pick up dog shit, and as much as horse shit annoys me, its not half as bad as dog shit. A bit cheesey but its true 'Take only memories, leave nothing but footprints'
  10. Nice one looks nice. I have heard of people crushing up corn flakes and coating them in that. If she dosent like it on the bone, its fairly easy to bone the legs with abit of practise.
  11. I fold mine 3 times, then wrap up with drawcord and keep them in draw-string bags. Never found the need to put bands around them or anything.
  12. They are great knives I grind mine to a drop point, same as I do with opinels.

    Trammel

Will a trammel net still catch rabbits if the rabbits hit it from the wrong side? I am thinking of getting one, are they much heavier than a standard net? Is there any real advantage to one when ferreting? Thanks, HJ
  14. £200 hundred is way way over priced mate.
  15. The best way I have found to get the head of the rabbit out of the purse net, is to hold the net up by the drawcord and the rabbit normally wrigles and its head pops out. Dosent always work probably about 7 times out of ten. When pulling a rabbits neck, hold the head in front of the ears rather than having you hand behind the ears, this makes it a hell of alot easier.
  16. I get 1.50 from local butchers and a pub owner, only just started selling some though.
  17. not good if theres still other rabbits down there though, as you could loose potential rabbits, either wait longer, or take up a sport that dont involve digging I see what you meen, but you can set a net over it and sometimes when in a sticky situation I just want to get the hell away. Also I dont need to take up a sport without digging, as I am far from spade shy. I was just putting up a couple of different things rather than 'keep quiet' etc that everyone knows...
  18. AHH!! I have thought of another one I do. If you have had a kill and you cant or dont feel like digging, heres the way I get the ferret/s out. Tie a rabbit to a purse net, I normally leg them and loop the net through the legs. then peg the net in very securley next to a hole and place the rabbit down the hole, all it takes is the ferret to grab the dead rabbit and the nets will move. if you set a few around the bury then you can easily keep track of it all my watching for the nets twitching. Obviously make sure the rabbits are tied properly or your fecked. Lets see how many slate
  19. If you dig down and your slightly off, and cant reach or feel anything. Get your mobile put the light on and video down the hole, you can see where the rabbit is and how far. Ive got a few wierd methods that Ive invented lol will try to think of some to amuse you.
  20. Nice one good bag of rabbits. I find that they are reluctant to bolt in the wind, but somedays it dosent seem to affect it. Often when I dig to them in the wind they are just in the middle of the run rather than a stopend, showing that they are reluctant to bolt.
