  4. Yep I like to see players with a bit flair , can be really boring watching Higgins etc... Remember Ebdon ....christ he was painful to watch....
  5. Hope Ronnie goes on to win his 7th title ...by far the best in the world when he can be bothered. Watched that Lisowski for the 1st time and was impressed , one to watch for the future.
  6. Yep he was a nice sized specimen in great condition, until he met me ?
  7. Popped out yesterday evening in search of a buck that I had seen on a gorse banking back in March. The weather was OK but still a cold easterly wind. I headed to my chosen destination but no luck only seeing 2 does. So I headed up the valley seeing nothing else except fields full of new born lambs. I then started heading back and spotted a fox along the edge of some gorse , I tried getting closer only to see him disappear into the gorse. I got myself set up 200 yds away hoping he would pop out but no sign so I did a little hand calling but still nothing. I then got my phone out
  8. I hate shows .....full of wannabe Rambos parading round in camo and ridiculous queues of traffic getting in and out .....not to mention the extortionate price of burgers ??
  9. That's a top drawer night ....excellent predator control ?
  10. Dont get grass snakes up here but found a few adders over the years. Went fishing once at Kielder and the lads put one in my bait box ..?
  11. Up at 2am this morning and on my mates ground by 5am just as it was starting to break light. On entering the farm I scanned some fields with the thermal and could see 3 separate deer up hedgerows. We stalked carefully in the half gloom but all 3 turned out to be does. It was now daylight so we headed for a nearby wood where I saw a decent buck a fortnight ago. As we skirted the wood we spotted 2 bucks in the wheat but not shootable , my mate got on his quad sticks and I told him to wait until the clean buck of the 2 moved into a shooting position . We didnt have to wait long and he went straig
  12. Out of interest which part of the General Licence are you shooting them under. Public safety I presume ? Slips and trips or danger to human health.
  13. Well after taking an old buck out of the copse a few weeks ago I decided to watch it for an hour before dusk tonight to see if any youngsters had claimed the territory. I got settled at 7.45 and I couldn't believe it as at 7.50 out popped another old buck .....the deer gods are certainly looking down on me at present? I let him come out 30 yards into the field and then took him? I find it strange that 2 old bucks were living in this small copse.....the territory should now be vacant for some youngsters to fill. Another big bodied animal..
  14. Hopefully the BBC will get rid of him and we don't see him anymore on TV ?
  15. It depends how you understand the wording ....I read it as you cannot use a sighting device either with natural or artificial light? I await the outcome
  16. Sighting device for night shooting is the grey area? It can be argued that a sighting device is a daytime scope and not just night vision. Mr Sausage....no time limits regarding flighting etc relates to shotguns but the OP wishes to use rifles. Looking forward to the answer.
