  3. Sweating today ? just been to zero my .22 and the Hawke scope eventually after getting my bolt shaved . 50 yds with final shot after tweaking hitting the small black dot ? Just need to see if I can shoot any rabbits now ??
  4. 100 yds...got his head battered. Thinking of getting rid and going back to normal Swarovski scope. Any ideas David as you don't have any bother with your scope.
  5. Well good news and bad news last night. Popped over to my mates place last night to sort out my .22 bolt , job done ?Then we popped out to a small plot near his to sort a fox out . Called the fox in within minutes , trotted in lovely , stopped it about 50 yds and my mate missed it with his C50 ? Went back to his place and watched it back on stream vision. The crosshairs were centre bib so very frustrating. He had problems zeroing it so well pi$$ed off. Needs to get back on paper to see where its shooting . Good news was got a farmers number to call last night to sort out a fox killing du

  8. Just in time for the buck season , hopefully have a couple of months off ?
  9. Seeing as it was a nice Spring morning I headed out for an armed ramble . The farm was very quiet with me only seeing 1 squizzer which I bagged. I ended up picking up spent cartridges again but seem to be nearly on top of them now ? Had a bit craic with the farmer as was watching a field of 200 corvids on the fresh spread muck on the field which will be drilled in a couple of weeks. Should be good as plenty corvids about and a few woodies.
  10. Lifetime ban me thinks. Better off solo mate than being out with a clown ?

  12. Another interesting read Mr Sausage ?You still seem to have plenty ? about.
  13. Exactly, I mean how can you walk them without drawing attention to yourself. What do the neighbours think ?
  14. Well done Stav , cant beat a daytime fox. Same happened to me yesterday. Lost my job on Friday so to cheer myself up I needed to go out for a walk with the rifle. Headed out around 4pm and wandered up the valley to look for a roe , bumped a buck in the gorse still in velvet but nice to see. I very carefully glassed the gorse covered bank step by step until I spotted a brownish dome shaped lump in the gorse which I thought may be a deer lying down but couldn't see a head or any movement . I watched it for 10 mins but no clue so half dismissed it as a log , I continued on my way and headed
  15. Spoke to my mate before and hes going to shave a bit off the bolt ?
  16. Well eventually got round to mounting the Hawke scope on my .22 today ready to zero at weekend. Bloody bolt catches the mag ring on the scope so looks like need to buy higher mounts or shave a bit of the bolt .....what you reckon ?
  17. That looks a big un , well done the little beddy tracking the fox ?
  18. Yesterday morning saw me travel down to Bedfordshire for an afternoon on the CWD. The weather was grey , windy and drizzly from to time but that didn't dampen my spirits. 1st doe was spotted next to the farm next to a pile of brash , stalked in across a grass field to a suitable firing position and duly dropped her on the spot at 197 paces ? After gralloching her it was back to my accommodation to check in , have a bath and a quick lie down. 4pm and we were back out again and I suggested to try a field over by the boundary which my mate hasn't shot before . Right decision as on getting out of
