  1. Wish I had a job like that mate , enjoy it !!
  2. 5 appeared at once , I should be so lucky .Looks like a bit of fun to be had over Xmas.
  3. It was a top class night with the dogs running on top form. The weather conditions were perfect from the start and I knew we would get a good haul. The 1st bit of ground we tried was lifting with rabbits sat together in parties of 3 and 4s . The running was fast and furious with rabbits streaming past us to get into the wood behind. Typp and Flyte excelled themselves tonight making catching rabbits look very easy , especially Typp running rabbits unsighted through rushes and still catching them , it was a sight to behold. Glad to see Towzer joined the club Its a pity the heats
  4. Mine arrived today mate Some cracking pics as usual .
  5. Me and David havent been out for a couple of weeks so decided to have a shine last night for charlie. I lamped a stubble where I knew a fox was operating and sure enough I spied a couple of sets of eyes but they both disappeared sharpish. We approached the bottom edge of the field and I spotted a fox lying in the hedge , David decided to take it from where we were as it was a very quiet night . Another good shot 190 paces . That was No 70 this year , the best year Ive ever had !!
  6. Give me a side by side anyday , Ive had one for 20 odd years now so not going to change. I like the traditional style , o/u always look like they just belong on the clay ground. Shot well with my sbs , missed nothing all day !!
  7. Cheers Woodga , we had a cracking days sport combining shooting , terriers and dry stone walling with the spike The pup taking a little bit more interest ................ We worked a dry stone wall with the terriers marking and it was very productive , even managed to get the black one that we'd seen previuosly out in the field. Me with both hands stuck in the wall , I had a rabbit in each hand and couldnt move , Woodga nearly wet himself laughing .......... End of day pic after a very successful and enjoyable days rabbitting , cheers Col we must have anothe

  16. What job do you do? Personally I would get straight in on the course . I have Level 1 & 2 but had to pay for them myself. You will learn a great deal on the course from deer identification , safety , legislation etc You will probably be better off if you have little knowledge of deer as everything they cover will stand you in good stead for the future! Good luck
  17. The ground is still frozen up here , never changed since Friday !
