  1. The weather was glorious yesterday, so me and David went for a walk around his ground . David had just bought a new .410 so he took it with him to get used to it. We had some cracking shooting with his terrier pushing the game out of hedgerows. Jack retrieving a duck from the pond. David managed to shoot a fox with his .410 , just as well as the poor critter was in a bad way , it had a broken front leg and was so skinny its back was razor sharp , no flesh on it at all Half time.................   9. Well , me and David had another sortie last night looking for charlie . At first I thought it was going to be a waste of time as the fog descended but luckily on arrival at our destination it was clear As we climbed over a gate I flicked the lamp and immediately spotted charlie sitting only yards away, David had to lie down in the mud as these fields are absolutely soaking with all the rain weve had , never mind got to be done when charlie is in range.   12. Out this morning just before daybreak looking to try and bag a roe doe. Anyway I headed for the only stubble field left on the shoot and spied charlie coming up the hedgerow straight at me , rifle on the sticks and down she went , a good start to the morning and it was only 7.15. I continued stalking looking for a doe , as I came through a game crop which has now been knocked down a bit I noticed 2 does , the nearest one was looking at me at a 45 degree angle.   17. Was out last night on a farm where I have shot approx 120 in the last 2 visits. I knew there wasnt a great lot left but just had a look last night to mop up a few more............ Well I was right there wasnt much left , cleared up a few more and thats it til next year !!
