  3. Me and David were out again last nite looking for old reynard. I decided to start on part of the ground which hasnt proved too successful to date , but tonight was different We lamped 3 stubble fields which had been covered in slurry , spied the tell tale orange eyes in the 1st stubble , quite a way off so we stalked in a bit closer and David took the first fox of the night at around 180 yds......... We continued to the next stubble where I spotted another , this time David hit it , but it started squealing and managed to disappear into a gorse covered dyke , unfortunataely we
  4. Youre right , when you use the upload option on this site it often does that for some reason !!
  5. David phoned me yesterday to say he was going lamping with Pen and Gun and did I want to come , you bet. We met up at around 5.30 and started lamping as soon as it was dark.We drove a few stubbles and it wasnt long before we spied charlie mooching about on the stubble , Peg postioned the motor , David got himself ready on the bonnet and Number 1 was in the bag We then continued and spotted another which was on the move heading towards a fence , a quick shout and curiosity got the better of it , it looked back and David nailed it quick We spied Number 3 out on a st

  7. Had a look out ferretting on Sunday with Woodga and the lads. What a beatiful day , clear blue skies and sunshine , couldnt ask for better !! We started to ferret a hedgerow but the nettles were very lively so we decided to try some open field sets. We got 10 out of one set and 10 out of the next , before Woodga stuck his hand in a hole only to get stung off some wasps We had 34 by lunchtime , a quick sarnie and a cup of tea and we were out again for the afternoon shift............ Blaze the terrier was his usual self pinning a few bunnies in the rushes..... After a lon

  11. F*** off. You have a problem with efficient pest control, this is the wrong site for you. I think reading the posts by the "big guns" pest controllers on here you will quite often see a write up where several more were spotted but not shot. If a job is there to be done, surely you do it? If its there 50th fox this year then surely they arent shooting them to bits as there seems to be an ample supply of foxes to shoot 50 this year yet still see more?! As far as i can see it, making that statement is almost the same as me going to work, being told to do something and not doing it because
  12. F*** off. You have a problem with efficient pest control, this is the wrong site for you. Well said . Firstly , we dont shoot the countryside to pieces. Secondly , You say more get away or released , surely thats not efficient control? Thirdly ,What is proper hunting ? We also dont lamp from a 4x4 , all done on foot!!! The farmers and shoot captains that I control foxes for are very happy at the job I do , Im sure they wouldnt be happy if most foxes got away or were released !!!! This is about control as Ive said before , managing the fox population to an accepta
  13. Me and David went lamping the other night and landed fox No 50 of this year. FD we went to the place I took you first where you shot a fox. Remember that 1st fox we squeaked in , well it was in the same place but didnt hang around this time We then lamped the other side of the farm where we saw nowt and I spied this one a good 300 yards away , I called and it came in a treat , straight down the beam to around 100 yds which is when David dropped it

  15. I took the pup for a mooch with David and his dog yesterday to see what he thought of the gun. David fired a test shot and the pup didnt flinch at all not gun shy at all. 19. Well after the Monsoon at the weekend where I wasnt able to get out at all , me and David had a bash on the stubbles last nite. Lamped a fox straight away but unfortunately not a safe shot so proceeded further across some stubbles until I spied another but every time time David tried to get a shot the fox was hidden in a dip until eventually it made the safety of an uncut wheat field . As we came around the corner of a hedge I lamped another sitting in the hedge at approx only 20 yds , David shot it off my shoulder !! Very testing shot Continued further and once again spotte
