  1. Anything loose will affect the zero mate . Just tighten it and regularly check it , Ive never known mine to come loose .
  2. The Buttolo will call bucks in on their own without a doe. The call imitates the doe ready to mate and sometimes the buck will charge right up to you very close. But like any form of calling it is not guaranteed but when it works its great I strongly recommend buying one !! This buck was called across a barley field from about 300 yards away into about 30 yards , very exhilirating
  3. Stop cleaning it mate If its shooting straight to start with I am of the opinion leave the barrel dirty,it works for me .Very embarrassing for you mate in front of the keeper but hey we all miss !! I take it youve checked that your mounts are secure etc ................
  4. I take it your talking about roe deer. The Buttolo call is excellent but you will have to wait til the rut in July/August to use it.

  7. Me and David had a look out to a smallholding last night under the full moon to see if there was any foxes. As I climbed over the gate into the 1st field I noticed a fox straight away without flicking on the lamp lit up by the full moon on the horizon , no more than 50 yds away. I signalled to David and as we watched this fox , as it was unsafe to shoot , another came along the horizon to join it . They had a little tumble and frolick about then proceeded closer to us but out of sight now as they had dipped below the skyline. Next we heard the most unearthly screeching very close

  16. A couple of weeks ago Woodga told me that a mate of his had got some new ground for ferretting and the young lad was seeing a few foxes about. He asked if I wanted to shoot some so I rang him last night to organise but he was still knackered after Sunday so he kindly put me onto the young lad and we decided to have a look around last night. We lamped a fox in the 1st field and the 2nd field but unfortunately were both lamp shy and quickly departed I lamped another fox in the 3rd field and my luck was in this time , this fox just sat there like one of those dumb Wiltshire foxes ( you

  18. Hi Martin, There are a lot of farms with sheep and roe , what I meant was though have you seen roe feeding amongst the sheep ??
  19. Cant fault the T3 for a factory rifle , very accurate. Ammo used is 58 grn v-max , which are the dogs b*****ks , very fast , flat and accurate.
  20. Yesterday afternoon at about 1.30 pm I spotted a young roe doe in amongst a field of sheep . I had to stop the car and take a pic as we all know they never mix normally , but this roe looked completely happy browsing away. I told the farmer and was told its been in with the sheep since August ! If you look closely on the pic its just down from the telegraph pole ...... Anybody else experienced this strange sight ??
  21. Me and David travelled once again to my permission in the Borders for a spot of foxing. On the way I called into a large hill farm and managed to secure another 3000 acres of fox shooting On arrival at my ground I glassed a fox straight away , but it was a long way off mousing in a clearfell . I told David to have a crack as there was nothing to lose , the fox presented itself standing on top of a log , David fired and missed but the fox only trotted another 40 yards or so so I stopped it with a holler and told David to give it a foot , he launched a 58 gr v-max and I saw the fox jink and
