  2. Good luck and enjoy it! You probably wont sleep the night before for excitement !!
  3. Arrived 7.20 am this morning as it was breaking light , hard frost on the ground so I wasnt too optimistic but went for a stalk anyway. After half an hour or so I glassed a doe feeding on a pheasant feeder stealing the wheat. As the ground was very noisy I didnt think I would be able to stalk up to her as I had to cross some open ground. I carefully crossed the open ground when she had her head stuck under the feeder knocking the spring to release the wheat , a quick check with the bins and she was still feeding, things looking good. I then stalked down the back of a hedgerow very slow
  4. :11: :11: :11: Where did you get the tracky bottoms for digging from , real quality  Can you actually tell the difference between a dog and a vixen ???? This fox weighed 10 stone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :11: :11:
  5. who gives a shit how big it was,not me,couldnt give a shite aslong as the farmers are happy! Why make a post titled HUGE FOX then ????????????????? :wankerzo4: :11:
  6. WOW aren't you perfect mate no-one can beat your foxes can they and it says between 20lb-24lb you know what you know i know what i know and everyone else does things different ways! Im not that sad,i wouldnt wana weigh it in at the local fish mungas or something it was an estimate thats all.i fish for salmon, sea trout, pike etc so i can gaurentee im not far away at all,it was between 20lb and above anyway who gives a shit! off and have a nice day! No I am not perfect I just state fact . This site has rapidly gone downhill with all the young chavs posting utter rubbish.
  7. Did you weigh this fox? If not you dont know how heavy it was . A 24lb fox is huge and the fox you posted a pic of certainly wasnt 20 lb. Until you weigh a 20lb fox you have no idea how heavy it is , I have accounted for hundreds of foxes over the years and the heaviest was 21 1/2 lb weighed on scales and believe me it was big. There is a lot of talk about big foxes but most of it is bullshit as most people never bother to actually weigh them they just guess.
  8. Doesnt look that big to me , what are you comparing it to ??
  9. Cracking pics mate But Martin youre mistaken that buck has got my name on it !! :11:
  10. Nothing mate , just fancy trying somewhere different and a bit cheaper !!!
  11. Are there any kind stalkers on here who have access to shooting muntjac as a few of the lads up North here would appreciate a day stalking them provided the price is not too steep
  12. Heres a pic of an antlered doe I shot a couple of years back , I wouldnt say they were common but not unheard of . We have had 3 like this up North on different ground. The one I shot in the pic was a large healthy doe , pregnant with twins at the time.
  13. Good result! Good clean rabbits , no blood on them , what were ypu shooting them with a catapult :11: :11:
  14. I was on a keepers day yesterday , bag was 90 pheasants , 5 partridge , 1 woodcock and a very smelly vixen that the keeper was chuffed with. I managed to shoot 8 pheasants.
  15. Well done Sounder , Ive been using the amber filter for years now , much better than the red I used to use. How did you get on on your trip over ?
  16. Looks like a nice spot Martin!! Should produce a few deer I expect .
  17. Well done Lads , if Id known you were going to the Borders I could have met up with you , maybe next time !!
  18. Arrived yesterday afternoon in a blanket of fog......... The sun eventually burned it off............ Managed to take this doe at dusk.....
  19. Me & Woodga had a look out last night with his trusty hounds , I was running Flyte and Woodga was running Typp. When we arrived it was dark and a bitter wind blowing so off we set in anticipation .But we soon realised that the ground was so wet it was like being in the paddy fields and I think a lot of rabbits would have been keeping their feet dry. Anyway the rabbits we did run were very sporting , jinking all over the place but the dogs pulled off some great catches. We ended the night on 21 hard earned rabbits !!
  20. When I got up this morning the ground was white with snow but by the time I arrived at the shoot it was dull and drizzling . But as I was there anyway I went for a wander , shortly afterwards the drizzle stopped I had to stop for a crap and as I pulled my pants back up I noticed a fox had come through the hedge and was looking away from me at a distance of only 3 yds , as I tried to raise my rifle it spotted me and jumped into the hedge but it was still looking at me so as I looked through my scope I couldnt see anything but a blur as the scope was set at 8x mag , anyway I fired where I thou
