  2. Quite the reverse , I have culled plenty young uns but not seeing many mature and old bucks.

  5. I was out for a walk last night and discovered this light coloured roe kid . Its coat was a lot lighter than normal roe kids and it didnt have the usual black around its eyes or a black nose. Just wondering if it will turn into a very light coloured individual ??? Any comments from other stalkers, what do you think ???

Hi Ian, I was just wondering if you could add a new section for Hunt swaps as I think it would be a good idea for people to get the opportunity to meet other members and maybe have a day out doing something different that they dont usually get the chance to participate in . It also gives people the opportunity to travel to different parts of the country. I know several members already visit other members but I think it would be good to have a new section so people can advertise what they have to swap . What do others think of this idea ???
  10. I was out again this morning at 4am and what a beautiful morning it was , the sun was shining and it was nice and calm. I bumped into a fox straight away , got my rifle on my sticks and was about to shoot when it turned and disappeared into cover I then crossed a little burn and peered over the fence into the adjoining field and spotted a deer behind the far hedge. On inspection with the bins I confirmed it was a buck but it was lame on its back leg . This is the wound which was swollen ...............   11. I took Ratcherman out on Saturday in that glorious sunshine to try for his 1st Scottish roebuck. When we arrived it was so hot I couldnt be bothered to go tramping about so instead decided to sit on our arses and wait overlooking a piece of cover. After about an hour and a half a 6 pointer emerged at around 180 yards , I was glassing through my bins and once the buck turned broadside I told Ratcherman to take him if he felt comfortable.   13. The Tweed Valley is full of sika and they tend to spread West more than East. The M74 is a barrier for them but they have been shot to the West of the M74.
  14. The wife is a hairdresser and I use 40 % liquid hydrogen peroxide , I never thought about the cream will get some of that for next time !!! Nice tip Sauer and V-max
  15. Yep I have got a silver in the cupboard but that was a different buck shot a few years ago I am hoping that this one makes Gold , not that I desire trophies just I think it is every roe stalkers dream !!!
  16. I was out with Ratcherman last night to bag a few bunnies to feed the dog. Arrived about an hour before dark and soon had a few in the bag , then just a quick spin with the lamp and bagged a few more. There was hundreds running about so I think in the near future a good session is required
