  1. Last night saw me and David out for a spot of foxing. 1st vixen was shot off a lamb , which it hadnt killed as a crow had already taken one of its eyes out................... 2nd vixen was shot after I squeaked it in to around 150 yds................
  2. I had to stop 3 times for a rest Im doing OK so far !!
  3. I wasnt going to go out early this morning as Ive been up early twice this week and wanted a lie in. But at 2.30 am I awoke with a pain in my stomach and had to run to the toilet with the runs . As I peered out of the window it looked like being quite a nice morning so as I was already up I decided to go for a wander. I arrived on my ground at 4.45 and once again skirted the boundary. I saw a couple of does in the most likely spot but not the buck I was looking for. I headed back to the car thinking that I had drawn a blank but as I approached the motor I noticed a spiker coming up the

  5. I was out again at 5am this morning on a sheep farm patrolling for foxes where lambs had been lost a little earlier. Again there was a chilly breeze blowing. I skirted the boundaries , stopping every now and then to watch hares frolicking . I headed for a small copse which has good cover . I carefully opened my sticks and another reynard was dispatched.

  8. I was out at 4.45 am this morning on a local farm to look for signs of fox as the farmer has lost some ducks. On arrival it was quite chilly with a stiff breeze. I glassed around the likely spots and saw nothing but a few rabbits and pheasants. I then proceeded to the highest point and scanned the ground below to see if anything was moving. I heard a cock pheasant giving the alarm call shortly followed by a fox emerging from the wood. This fox was 2 fields away from me but heading in my direction. When it was hidden from view I raced across the 1st field , my presence hidden by a h
  9. A few points to note here. These foxes were travelling from a neighbouring farm which I dont have access to. I dont have terriers and if I did it would be breaking the law as terriers cant be used for the protection of lambs only gamebirds. No gamebirds to protect on this land. When people control rabbits or rats at this time of year do they bother to search for the young and dispatch them ??????? I dont think so !!!!!!!
  10. I remember as a kid we used to find a few blackies nests on the ground , I remember one in particular which was inside a carrier bag.
