  1. Me and Ratcherman had a look out on my ground yesterday . It started very well , as we pulled into the farm I noticed a fox on the road into the farm. I drove right up to it and it just stood and looked at us so I told Ratch to get the .22 out , unbelievably this fox just watched the whole time as he loaded the gun , I wound the window down and Ratch shot it in the head. I have never seen a more stupid fox in all my time of foxing We parked at the farm and went for a wander with the .243. I spied a fox trotting up a bank so I quickly dropped to the floor . The fox was 250 yards away
  2. Ive been using Winchester subs for 22 years and never had a problem . Used to get quite a few mis fires with Eley but no problems at all with Winchester.
  3. LEON BLACK HAWK DOWN SEVEN What about Mrs Doubtfire
  4. Its really dependent on the amount of game on the land and the weather conditions. Some areas that are heavily infested with rabbits you could easily shoot 100 plus but other areas you might only get a couple. I know a guy in Wales who can go out and shoot 15 - 20 foxes in that amount of time but I can only dream of this . Id be happy with a couple.
  5. Now sorted via the options button.
  6. When I view a post I can see the whole initial post but when viewing the replies I just get a list of usernames and the 1st bit of text. I cant read all the replies together, How do you sort this ??
  7. Had the kids for a day out at a local tourist farm the other day and just couldnt help but admire the fallow deer .................
  8. What a cracking trophy , surely a Gold . Shame it wasnt taken via a good stalk. They are tough little deer . I really admire them and wish we had some up here .
  9. 49 up to now , but a lot of ground still not really shot as fields not cut .
  10. The Shoot captain phoned to say that most of the fields are cut and can I have a look to see if any foxes are about. They recently lost 100 poults in this pen but it has been re-stocked and want the foxes cleaning up. I shot a cub a little while ago and the shoot captain was lucky to get another with the shotgun. I managed to shoot this cub near the pen at 149 paces on a ploughed field. Saw another couple but not able to get a shot so another look out soon is in order .
  11. What have you done Dave ??? I could probably give you a hand !!!!

  14. Cracking malform Martin , rather see them than the usual 6 pointers
  15. It was shot Midlothian , Scottish Borders. It hasnt been measured yet as waiting for the 90 day drying period. Should make Gold but it wont be pushing the record. Once it has been measured my mate is getting a full head mount , the head and cape are at the taxidermists now.
  16. How many points did that one have Alimac ?? What CIC score did it make ??
  17. Hi Local, On 48 for this year so far . Hopefully a few more to come yet
  18. Here is a pic of a roebuck my mate shot recently which is a 12 pointer . I have shot a 7 and a 9 pointer in the past but never heard of or seen a 12 pointer. Anyone else shot multi point roe please post your pics . Can anyone beat 12 points ????
  19. hi mark 578g mate. Thats a coincidence my buck weighed 578 gms but only made silver. I know there are more factors involved but I think they should have a more uniform and easier system for measuring roe heads. Who measured your trophy Dave as mine was done at Scone which probably made a difference !!!!
