    I was using my .22/250 As for shooting cubs now I have no problem with this at all as they are out hunting by themselves now. Far better to clean them up now before the poults arrive . As I have said many times FOX CONTROL is carried out 12 months of the year not just at winter time.

    Me and Ratcherman had a quick look out with the lamp just to see if we could get any cubs. I started the proceedings with a vixen that I managed to coax from some thick cover Then after seeing a couple more which wouldnt play the game Ratcherman took this cub at 170 paces . We did see a few more so another trip there shortly mate

    I got in last night with the wife and daughter and had a bit of a headache so decided to nip out for a quick wander to clear my head. I popped down a local farm and asked the farmer if hed seen any cubs yet but he hadnt. I knew they would be there so set off to do a little calling. I tried a couple of places with no joy , only rabbits coming to the rabbit distress call As it was getting dark I tried one last place , some rough ground covered in gorse where I thought there was a litter. I positioned my rifle on my sticks and started to call , 3 rabbits appeared and sat up on thei

    Roe scored 121.73 after deducting 2 1/2 penalty points . Weight was 578 gms. Sika scored 243.4 points. Looks like that Gold will always elude me but if you have one to spare Wireviz I will gladly come and shoot it for you :11: Seriously though I never set out looking for trophies I have just been lucky to bump into a couple.     I cant believe that guy handling rats with his bare hands , does he not appreciate that they are disease ridden . You will have to edit that bit as a lot of kids will buy these DVDs and you need to promote best practice etc

    I saw exactly the same thing as well once. I was observing a roe doe browsing a hedge when I noticed a fella walking along the path the other side the hedge no more than 10 yards from this doe . I too expected her to scarper but no she just froze and let the guy walk past. Roe bucks do just lie up in thick cover this time of year awaiting the pending rut , I dont bother looking for them until then .................

    Good luck with the DVD but I find once youve seen 1 rabbit shot youve seen it all . It gets very boring for a full DVD unless you are going to include a lot of different footage

    My best year was last year , we had 76. So far this year about 28 but not started on any cubs yet ....

    I enjoyed reading that mate , glad you had a good time . Plenty roe round FDs way . A genuine guy who likes to take people out , not be long before the whole of THL have stalked the Wiltshire Wonderland
