    Ive never read so much shite in all my life. Some areas have more foxes than others, and always will have (be it less favourable areas or too much pressure from keepers etc). There are enough areas that remain relatively untouched (arable/dairy/forestry/wetlands areas, nature reserves, towns and cities OR big pheasant shoots that see it more economically viable to release an extra couple of thousand birds etc etc). Fox has been hunted from day dot and it aint gonna go away any time soon, so all the Attenboroughs can put away their hankies (joke btw) FTB

It is right enough though, alot (most) decent grouse moors have caught on to the fact that hares carry tick which has numerous problems for grouse. 1. Ticks can overwhelm young chicks often causing death. 2. Ticks can cause audult birds to loose condition and fail to rear young. 3. Ticks can carry louping ill virus that has % mortality in grouse and other bird species. 4. Hares spread tick throughout the moor and cause problems in other areas. 5.     £60 won't get you much to be honest mate. It will get you a pair of wellies, but for serious walking you will be better spending a bit more if possible and getting a pair of boots.

Drummochter shot 198, Phones shot 284, Corrygarth shot 200 odd (after never hitting 100 brace in the moors history). Happy days to see some Scottish boys gettin decent bags. Most English moors are doing good as per.

    go to college and get qualified if you are lucky by that time the economy may have picked up and there may be some jobs but to be honest at the moment it will be hard work getting any where and then if you do get a job you will spend half the year wishing you hadn't LOL What kind of advice is that to give? Why breed your own line and work hard to improve it...when joe blogs will give you one for 100 quid.     Bang on Tassa. Trying to find an honest working russell is ALOT harder than it should be. I recently have had to do a 7 hour round trip south of the border to line my russell bitch as there was feck all up here worth putting her to. And thats the truth... FTB

    If your only experience was turning over the garden...so would you! On a serious note, wickes sell a digging bar for £12 that does the job nicely. Has a point on one end and chisel on the other. About 6 ft long so great for levering big stones and slabs on drains Look at their website. FTB

    Meindls. IMO the best on the market. I wouldnt go near le chameau if I were you. They are adequate if they are not doing much, But I have been out 2 weeks in a new job and there in pieces already (walking 8 hours a day through rank heather and forestry/clearfell). My meindls on the other hand are spot on. Lowas are supposed to be good, as are black islanders (buth the coating wears if going through heather). Hope this helps.

    Not the case with my 4x4. It's a three litre diesel, and i'm a sympathetic driver but i still only get around 21mpg. What is that your driving mate? FTB
