  1. Ive never read so much shite in all my life. Some areas have more foxes than others, and always will have (be it less favourable areas or too much pressure from keepers etc). There are enough areas that remain relatively untouched (arable/dairy/forestry/wetlands areas, nature reserves, towns and cities OR big pheasant shoots that see it more economically viable to release an extra couple of thousand birds etc etc). Fox has been hunted from day dot and it aint gonna go away any time soon, so all the Attenboroughs can put away their hankies (joke btw) FTB
  2. Aye, a massive stash of Rohypnol. FTB
  3. Jesus f*****g christ... I've seen it all now. FTB
  4. What are you doing man! Are you crazy! Have you not read the thread in the general talk section, foxes are going to become extinct! FFS FTB
  5. as is many of the newspapers mate Just havin a laugh mate. It is right enough though, alot (most) decent grouse moors have caught on to the fact that hares carry tick which has numerous problems for grouse. 1. Ticks can overwhelm young chicks often causing death. 2. Ticks can cause audult birds to loose condition and fail to rear young. 3. Ticks can carry louping ill virus that has % mortality in grouse and other bird species. 4. Hares spread tick throughout the moor and cause problems in other areas. 5. They graze on young heather which can be problematic for moors with
  6. In danger my hole. I could name dozens of moors that you practically trip over the tick ridden b*****ds. Love to know where they get this data from, afterall the sun is widely known for its realistic true articles
  7. £60 won't get you much to be honest mate. It will get you a pair of wellies, but for serious walking you will be better spending a bit more if possible and getting a pair of boots.
  8. Nice one Bobba. Pleanty scottish boys shooting this year. Whole of Angus glens are doin great. Drummochter shot 198, Phones shot 284, Corrygarth shot 200 odd (after never hitting 100 brace in the moors history). Happy days to see some Scottish boys gettin decent bags. Most English moors are doing good as per.
  9. go to college and get qualified if you are lucky by that time the economy may have picked up and there may be some jobs but to be honest at the moment it will be hard work getting any where and then if you do get a job you will spend half the year wishing you hadn't LOL What kind of advice is that to give? I notice that you are 21 years old, so probably past the 'volunteering for a year' scenario. I would wait untill the shooting season, and if you are doing nothing better go beating as many days as you can on as many local shoots as possible (only big shoots with the possibil
  10. If it was bred in patna chancer are its off of shite and not worth breeding anyway. Lol But seriously. FTB
  11. Hey, Its not just dogs...it's society in general. Everyone wants it handed to them on a fecking plate. Why work for a living... when you can claim benefits. Why breed your own line and work hard to improve it...when joe blogs will give you one for 100 quid. Why buy a pup and give it the time, effort , dedication and patience required to make it a good'un ... when you can buy a 100% worker on here for £. It's sad. FTB
  12. I probably wouldn't have put that up full stop. Maybe I am paraniod, but I value my dogs too much. Dont take it the wrong way, Just a sensible bit of advice. FTB
  13. Just grow a pair of balls and deal with them Ive been working in forestry in the Scottish Highlands all week and I believe I am now immune to the wee baastards. Avon skin so soft (or TRIPLE S if you don't want to sound like a poof) is the only stuff that I have found works. FTB
  14. Taffy Spud Bruce Nifty Gazza Monkey Moose Goose Tatty Shire Clyde Laddie Buzz All half decent names for a lurcher. Ive called my new pup shifty. FTB
  15. Same here. If you look on my profile, I put up a vid ages ago showing the different locators and how they work. Should help you decide. I will bump it to the top for you. FTB
  16. Brilliant motors. Will handle dry fields and farm tracks. But don't think you will do decent offroad in it. Not that type of vehicle. Ultra reliable. Brilliant to drive. Fast. Economical. Spacious. Comfy. I'd get one if I needed one.
  17. Bang on Tassa. Trying to find an honest working russell is ALOT harder than it should be. I recently have had to do a 7 hour round trip south of the border to line my russell bitch as there was feck all up here worth putting her to. And thats the truth... FTB
  18. Looks count for feck all. I've got one of the most horrid russels you have seen but she grafts her heart out. I agree they have to be physically capable, but I don't agree with the rest of your rant. I'm gonna start a thread 'let's see your horrible workers' lol FTB
  19. Don't be so f*****g stupid. The dug has had ten rabbits and is unfit and has a clueless owner. Its a total novice that has had a terrible start and hasn't even had the opportunity to show its capabilities. Those suggesting he should get rid are brain dead. Give it the chanxe to succede or fail first. FTB
  20. If your only experience was turning over the garden...so would you! On a serious note, wickes sell a digging bar for £12 that does the job nicely. Has a point on one end and chisel on the other. About 6 ft long so great for levering big stones and slabs on drains Look at their website. FTB
  21. Meindls. IMO the best on the market. I wouldnt go near le chameau if I were you. They are adequate if they are not doing much, But I have been out 2 weeks in a new job and there in pieces already (walking 8 hours a day through rank heather and forestry/clearfell). My meindls on the other hand are spot on. Lowas are supposed to be good, as are black islanders (buth the coating wears if going through heather). Hope this helps.
  22. You wouldn't expect an athlete to win a race if he was unfit. So why would you expect an unfit lurcher to catch his quarry? An unfit lurcher serves NO purpose at all. FTB
  23. Not the case with my 4x4. It's a three litre diesel, and i'm a sympathetic driver but i still only get around 21mpg. What is that your driving mate? FTB
