  1. I am sure having too much drive has been the downfall of many good dogs(terriers especially) . But a dog can't be classed as great without it imo. FTB
  2. Mates hare bitch(pre ban obviously) had unbelievable drive. Would go through anything to get her quarry making her a seriously good bitch with a excellent catch rate. Especially on ground where other dogs would struggle. Unfortunately this also meant she was very prone to injury and was retired at quite a young age as a result. Bitch was collie greyhound saluki whippet of some description. What I would call a great dog. FTB
  3. Your giving the dog too much exercise. I don't know wheteher that is what is fecking up its legs but you are exercising it far too much. Let it grow and be a pup. 2 hours at any rime in a dog as young as this is asking for trouble imo FTB
  4. Good shout. Joseph Fritzl had the right idea. FTB
  5. he can get to ground alright 3 or 4 times a week or he wouldnt be classed as a working dog mate! atb Doesnt need to be able to get to ground to be classed as a working dog! could be a ratting & bushing dog... So could your Grandmas Yorkie, doesn't make it a grafter. FTB
  6. Cant see you getting anything goin , but all the best and no harm trying. FTB
  7. i've been called a lot of terrible things in my life, fat, ugly, retarded, rapist, lazy, perverted, alan626's friend, sheep worryer, heroin addict, but none of these were as bad as being called ginger, if i was ginger i'd like to think i'd have the grace to hang myself, and i'd go to ground on you no bother, i heard you have big tubes that are well traveled, but you stop end is a bit messy from an old dig Thats nothing. I heard she likes to double up (sometimes even triple), and this has led to it being trenched on more than one occasion. FTB
  8. Heres a picture of Catcher1. He was too bashfull to put it up. FTB
  9. FFS dont snare it unless you want to kill it (possibly). Cant believe no one has told you not to snare it yet. FTB
  10. Nae bother. Thought when you said ' boxy head' you were a typical messer..still might be, I don't know.. I have a fair idea who has some of the best stuff around, but it would be unfair of me to drop names and the chance of a stranger getting one is slim to nill. FTB
  11. Wouldn't entertain a deerhound cross for what you want. Beddy or collie greyhound type should do everything you want. FTB
  12. Borat you look like a serial killer. What a turn off. FTB
  13. Thinkin of selling her as a non runner. I can't be doing with all the hassle tbh. Definetely some damage done to engine and its gonna cost to find out how serious it is. FTB
  14. That's a massive help mike. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain it . Your a gem. FTB
  15. The van has not been serviced in a dealership and is not in one now. The offending pipe was replaced in a main dealer less than 6 months ago as the records will show. Problem is I am in the arsehole of nowhere up here. 40 mile to nearest vauxhaul dealer and surrounded by sheep shagger mechanics who could be screwing me for all I'm worth. The engine hasn't even been looked at but is turning over. If I was back in the shire it wouldn't be a problem as I have handy mates. FTB
  16. More leggy than wide - which is where it counts. This dog is the best rock dog i have ever used or seen, will go anywhere and has the strenght to pull it out where he can. Hes an out and out grafter and unfortunately, as hes not mine, I dont work him as often as he would like. FTB
  17. How much did you sell the pups for Bud? Serious question. FTB
  18. Update on the van - she is no more . It was in the garage over the weekend and they phones to say they had compression tested it and it had no compression. So there is obviously some damage, most likely being head gasket. So if it were your van what would you do? I have a few options. 1. Let the garage open her up to see the damage then fix it. 2. Buy s second hand engine and replace it. 3. Sell it to a dealer as it is for a reduced price. 4. Phone vauxhaul, shout and scream at them down the phone and tell them my business runs 4 similar vans, all up for replacement
  19. Look like nice fashion accessories. Sorry bud, but they don't do anything for me. FTB
  20. Well done mate. Keep doing what you enjoy its what the sport is all about. Just don't breed off it lol. Imo you would get on better with a ferret and some nets and use your terrier for hunting cover and marking holes. I have seen the consequences of dogs in tight spots, and rabbiting with a terrier sounds like a recipe for disaster to me ( although I have never done it, so apologize if I am wrong). FTB
