  1. Aye there releasing them all over. But that's the RSPB ethos. The sky has to be full of them for it to be 'sustainable' when in actual fact its about as unsustainable as it gets. FTB
  2. Kites are scavengers. Much like buzzards. But they are also opportunists. As are all raptors. They can and do take young birds. The biggest problem they create is disturbance factor. Disturbed grouse are almost impossible to drive and predict. I am not saying there is no place for them. There is. But its not on moors and its not in the volumes those rspb twats would like to see(50 plus circling the sky at one time). Hope that painted a better picture for you mate. And sorry for being a bit sharp, its quite a strong subject to me. FTB
  3. Have you ever witnessed a kite over a grouse moor. I doubt it. I'm not saying much on the matter, we all have our opinions. Its just some are more informed than others. FTB
  4. Why release them when there are pleanty already. 50 kites it the sky above one feeding station to draw in tourists and mugs is NOT natural. They are majestic birds to some, and feckin vermin to others. I am of the latter opinion. Just an opinion, nothing more nothing less. FTB
  5. Is FTB the new FTB? Damn I need to change my name. FTB
  6. Most land here is clay and spring plough turns to concrete quite fast. I wouldn't intentionally slip a dog on it. I accept a course can go that way, but that's the nature of the game. Beside that, nothing much would sit out on plough here anyway. FTB
  7. Best way to start an argument is to post a religious thread on thl, or so it seems. FTB
  8. What's the first thing a battered wife does when she gets out a hostel? The dishes if dhe knows what's fecking good for her. Ba-doom-doom-tsh. I'm here all week...try the veal.
  9. Had mine on for that last week and a bit. Although I'm now staying up north in the middle of nowhere so its to be expected ! FTB
  10. Be pleanty of lads on here to give you constructive training advice,I hope. The main thing is to give it pleanty of interaction and time at a young age. If your keen enough in time everything will fall into place. There is very little you can do with the pup in the first wee while, real work starts from 6 months onwards imo. Best thing you can invest in, if its to stay in the house is a cage. Far easier to toilet train and manage. If its do be kenneled drop me a PM, I know an old lad who knocks them up for very little. I know its easy to rush in and buy a dog when you get the notio
  11. i,d love to knit you a jumper, but i,ll wait till you get back so i know how many arms to knit on it or i could do you a tank top to be on the safe side :11:
  12. Do you think that engine would fit in an astra van? FTB
  13. Well done mate. If you stick in one day you might be smart enough to become a gamekeeper. Lol.
  14. I won't say no. Typical woman eh, start an argument in an empty house. FTB
  15. Sounds like little timmy is joining the army to get out some pent up agression. I personally think it would be far easier to go and have a wank. Lol FTB
  16. He'll be dropping the soap left right and centre. Probably spend most of the 8 weeks chomping down on his pillow lol. FTB
  17. Aye your right. Its half what's in the dog and half what you put in to it. So a young lad as keen as this one, with a well bred pup will always end up with a great dog. If you have been offered a pup from someone close then go for it, if its what you want I am posotive you will put in the time and work to rear it well. I wish you sall the best luck as your first will always be the one you remember which nothing will compare to.
  18. So you would advise a complete begginer , a young kid at that to go and meet someone off here. No way. The wee man is mad keen, and I would go out my way to make sure he got the best start. I sent him a free lamp a while back after some COCK off here took his money and failed to send him what was promised. So yes I will stand by statement and you should think before you open your trap. I also have a dog doing the bizz in mind if that was what he was lookign for. Yes there are decent folk, and yes there will be the odd good litter. But there are a lot of unscrupulous people willing t
  19. Nice story mate. Its great there are folk like yourself out there willing to put the time and effort in. You must get great satisfaction from it. FTB
  20. In that case hold off for a right good litter, choose the right one as it will be with you for a number of years. Don't rush into anything and you will be fine. Anything with whippet/collie/greyhound/beddy will souit you, sorry I cant narrow it down any more. FTB
  21. Are you wanting a pup or something for this season?. If its just for rabbits, any dog would do its up to your own preference at the end of the day. PM me if you want something ready for this season,i ken your a decent lad, do not get anything off here. For rabbits, I would personally go for some whippet collie greyhound variation. FTB
  22. Started on rabbits a couple of weeks ago. Everything else 1st weekend in October, got some lads from down south coming up for a right session . FTB
  23. The best call on a calm night is the small mouse squeek ones you can buy from acme (i think). Really capture their inquisitive nature and draws them in closer than anything else ive tried. Common misconception is that louder is better, which is nonsense. Some of the electric calls are good though. FTB
  24. He popped a cap in the teachers ass for being a dirty mutha. FTB
