  1. Nah, we're both rubbish, Wurz, we just make it all up!!!! I'm going to take a few pics on Monday and I've also got a few on my camera that I've not been able to do anything with 'cos I'm offline at home.... I'll put up a request Monday night or Tuseday to ask if some kind soul can post them for me. I can only get a very little time to have full Internet access at the moment but I'll sort something out..... Cheers!!
  2. That's airguns for you, mate, what works well in one gun can be crap in another. Even in guns of the same type. You've been unlucky though, FTTs tend to work well in most guns. What rifle is it you're using, mate? Cheers.
  3. OK... Mike does have a rather, erm.... alternative style of posting sometimes and has made the odd gaff but at least he's been good enough mostly to accept when he's fecked up and a lot of his posts are helpful to folks IMO. When I blew off at him last week I didn't read his post properly and got the wrong end of the stick and it couldn't have happened at a worse time for me, I was in a properly stinking mood which really didn't help my judgement.... I have since spoken to both Mike and Mary on the phone and we had a laugh about it, misunderstandings do happen and it's far easier to get th
  4. Nice one, Shepp, you'll enjoy that Is that a tin of FTTs on the table? My 90 shoots very well with those in .20 and also Baracudas. Give Bisley Super Fields a go too if you get the chance, mate. I totally know what you mean about the detached feeling you get from PCPs. I had a AA410c for a while and as great a rifle as it was, it just left me cold somehow after a while, I found myself reaching more for the springers after a few months so I sold it. Good luck with your new gun, Shepp. Cheers.
  5. Yup, I've just found them. I'll drop them off at your's next week. How are you fixed for Monday?
  6. I'll try to get the pics sorted tommorow. I'm still off line at home so I'm stuck using my phone just now. I'll be at a mate's so I can use their computer and email them to someone (Mike..?) if they'd be kind enough to post them for me?? Cheers.
  7. Don't take the Mick, folks but the best corvid lure I've ever used was a rather large Teddy bear.... An old keeper friend put me on to this and I thought he was taking the piss to begin with but the feckers mobbed it. All of the above advice is good though, IMO. Best of luck. Cheers.
  8. PM me your address, mate. I'm sure I've one to fit. Cheers.
  9. Nicely done, mate. You've done well there, I've never found a gun in any caliber that groups well with those much past twenty or so yards but if they work well in your own rifle then stck to what works. What kind of groups are you getting at longer ranges? Say fourty ish yards? Just wondering....? Cheers.
  10. Things are ok, Shay. Work's been rubbish but hopefully things will pick up soon. I've been lucky enough to be out on the estate from time to time and also been shooting on Pianoman's permission a fair bit this year which has been great!! We were out for a few hours today and managed six bunnies and three squidders between us. Not a great bag but that don't matter really, like you it was just great to be out. Cheers, Shay.
  11. As some of the lads have said, .20 also gets a big thumbs up from me. I've used it now for about four years and I'm more than very happy with it. That said, I think caliber's more in the shooters mind than anywhere else. They'll all do the job so long as you do your bit.... Cheers.
  12. Good to see you back and out and about, Shay. What you been up to, not seen you on here for quite a while, mate? Hope you're well... Cheers.
  13. Sounds like you may have pulled the barrel out of line with the tape, mate. Take it off and try again. Good luck!!
  14. Nice one, seems like someone's picked up where Pelpax left off. Good luck with the shop, Rich.
  15. As above... The only thing I'd add is a pure silicon oil or grease is perfect for lubeing air sealing washers and 'o' rings. It won't ignite under pressure and helps to maintain a good seal. Good luck with your 335, it's a gun I've some very fond memories of. Cheers.
  16. You can't legislate against stupid and you can't educate pork..... No amount of wishful thinking will ever change that. Whilst idiots have access gun's, dogs, crossbows, stones, sharp sticks or whatever, they'll always find some way to misuse them. Stupid is as stupid does. End of.
  17. It's nice to be nice, ain't it!! Well done, Carl.
  18. HW90 any day, mate. Better trigger, better build, much less recoil, easier to cock and much better after sale service should you ever need it. The Evo's a very good rifle however and it's also a good bit lighter than the 90, if that's an issue. Cheers.
  19. I had the FWB 124 Sport when I was about sixteen and I also chopped it in for one of the first HW80s. I think overall the was the better rifle but the 124 just felt nicer in the hands somehow... It was one of the best handling springers I think I've ever used. When I'm a little less skint I'd love to own another one, I do like my old German shonkers!!!
  20. LOL!!! It's a fair cop, Craig. I really do stuff my feet in my mouth sometimes!! :-/
  21. You've got me bang to rights there, Mary!!! As they say the hardest advice to take sometimes is your own...!! That'd be cool, please keep me posted. Looking forward to it. I promise I'll have had some proper sleep by then and I'll play nicely :-) Cheers!!
  22. That's very kind of you both. I really have been a right royal pain in the arse to all around me just lately. I'm in the process of setting up my own business and I just seem to be banging my head against wall after wall..... Well pissed off, mate. I'd be more than happy to reveiw and report on any of your friends products but I will speak as I find. Good, bad or indifferent!!! LOL I'm off line at home as my laptop's fecked, so I'm either using my phone of friends machines. I'll PM you my address when I can. Thanks again. Cheers, Andy.
  23. Well then, what can I say?? Having a re read of your post I feel an apology is in order. I took it totally the wrong way, Mike. Life's being a bit crappy for me just now and I'm snapping at everything and everyone above the grass right now. That's no excuse however, I failed to engage my brain before my gob.... You guys can accept my apology or not, that's up to you but here it is, however you decide to take it. I wish your friends all the best with their new business venture. I know exactly how hard that can be as it's the main cause of my own stresses..... Cheers.
