  1. So you do enjoy some food with your ketchup! Nice shooting, mate. Cheers.
  2. looks like i got ripped off then owell lol The most important thing is, you will know better and be wiser next time doubt it, if i want something i dont care what i pay to get it If money's no object, keep it as a spare and buy something else. Cheers. PS. Lend us a tenner?
  3. here funny yiou should say that... the red were better in a gatt! hehehehe better that throwing the gun at lol Yeah. I tried the yellow ones for a while but they were total overkill. So much damage to the carcass that the animal was only fit for the dogs and the slaves.... Or Ginsters.... Cheers.
  4. For the abstract, truly a gift you have, wise one!! With body shots, do you need to remove the head before posting, or is the impact so great that the hydroulic shock through the body just blows it off? Cheers. Edit to say: What range do you zero your formidable combo? Not to go off topic....
  5. Gat gun. Open sight. Darts (must have red flights, blue and green wander too much in cross winds). 500 yard zero. Any big game animals that wander through my garden. Cheers.
  6. All I can say is, the best pellet I've found for killing things in a sub FAC airgun are .177 Bisley Mags/H and N Baracuds. We've got naff-all power to play with and down range performance is vital. I've been playing with .20 for a while only to see how Dynamic SPC 5s perform. Ballistics is a complicated science and I liked the sound of them, so I thought I'd give them a try. So far, so good. As you've so rightly said before, it's all about being able to hit the target exactly where you need to, but it's also about knowing that the pellet's going to do what you need when it arrives
  7. Nope I'll stay with .22 and just think that for some the best part of two inches under zero is still flat. So it will stay as cosy as ever in that place down there. ATB Michael Anyone may think you maybe have a BS spotter built into your brouser... I used .177 for a very long time, and thought that was a bold claim. It is flatter but not that flat. In my humble 30 years of airgunning experiance. Cheers. Edit: I still prefer the smaller calibers though.
  8. WHAT?? To the dark side, you may go?? Hell's freezed over, maybe it has..... Cheers.
  9. Thanks, Ghillies. I'd never even heard of Cree bulbs 'til you mentioned them. I'm a little out of touch! Cracking bit of technology, I can't believe something so small can put out so much light. Cheers, mate. Edit to say: Many thanks for all the info and details in your reply, Ghillies. You really went the extra mile!
  10. Thanks, Davy. Good read, I enjoyed that. Cheers.
  11. Come on Mods!! Let's have this pinned. Spanking write up, Scuba. Clear and informative. Cheers.
  12. They worked best in mine too. RWS Superdomes are worth a try too. Cheers.
  13. I've got zoom lenses on all my scopes but to be honest, I can't remember the last time I moved any of them from 6x. Cheers.
  14. my s410extra fac likes airarms field diablo.its shooting on 35ft lb,,,,, My old Diana 52 liked those and Crosman Premiers. It did 30-32 ft.lb.
  15. I've got it!! Operation Barbarossa didn't work so now you're trying subtle infiltration!! Very clever these Germans but I've foiled your dastardly plan! Das Cheers.
  16. I had a Theoben classic 22ft/1b.It did the job but was noisier and pushed a lot less lead.A word of warning though mine exploaded. To explain i was crossing a fence one night with the barrel broken and accidentally touched the trigger. The barrel snapped shut bending like a bannana and unbelievably the stock blew apart. Contacted Theoben and explained that i had accidentally pulled the trigger when the barrel was open and before i could say anything else the woman on the other end of the phone says your barrel will be bent and your stock will have blown apart then? Needless to say claimed on
  17. Two chops per rabbit? Shoot twenty or so, and you'll have a whole sheep! Nice one, mate. Cheers.
  18. Good point, but it can depend on the land you shoot on. One of my shoots is a large wood, about 400 yards long and 100 ish wide. It's bounded by public foot paths. I tried to have it oked for rimmys and was knocked back. Tried again for FAC airguns and it passed ok. Cheers.
  19. It wasn't the glass pellets that caused the problem, Scuba. They worked fine after I'd diamond plated the barrel to stop premature wear of the rifleing. It was the bulbs on the piston that kept breaking. I got a little bit fed up having to strip the gun to replace a bulb after each shot, I'm sure you can understand that in the field, at night, this is less than ideal. I even tried putting some jelly babies in the cylinder to absorb some of the shock but no joy.... I think it would be a good system for a PCP but as they don't have a piston, maybe we'll need to develop a PCP/spring gun h
  20. I've had three AWT kits (from donnyc) and so far, so good. Just make sure you follow the instructions well. Cheers. P.S. AWT make the rams that Theoben use.
  21. Hi, fellas. I put a post up a while back asking for help with my re-zeroing hassle taking a lamp on and off my HW90. I knew I'd never solve the problem with gun mounted lamps, so was looking for alternatives to the not too bright head torch I'd been useing. After trying a piston mounted light and glass pellets to no avail (JOKE! Thanks Suba), I looked on the interwank for a suitably good light and ended up getting an LED Lenser H7 head torch with a Cree (as recomended, thanks) 140 Lumen bulb form TheTorchSite.co.uk. Top bit of kit! Small, light and throws a beem to a good 100 yards
  22. What gun is it, mate? Is it one you've got or one you're thinking of getting? Cheers.
  23. I used an HW90 for mine. Airguns have their uses for such things.
  24. Hmmm. Maybe a little more hitting power is what's needed... My Gat gun's loads better! Nice round, mate! Well done. Cheers.
