By the way the Canadians love'em Its much better than rabbit, shame theres not much meat on one, you need 5-6 for a good meal They went to feed my keeper mate's ferrets. Tried squidders a long time ago myself but what a faff! I've never skinned anything so tough and the meat was mostly sinue. If I'm honest though, I'm a crap cook! Cheers.

    Six this morning! First chance I've had for a long time to have a go at them. Tagged along with a keeper friend who said they'd got problems with them in one wood. Got all six within the first 15 mins, then two more hours and one missed rabbit later, it was time to go. Cheers.

    Hi, mate. If you can find one in your price range, you can't do much better than the HW90. Although the 97's a top class springer too, it's just a shame they never fitted a gas spring to it like the 90. Cheers.

    Just keep it to yourself. It's nothing to do with being ashamed about what we do, it's about undserstanding that there are lot's of ignorant folks out there who'll judge us without knowing. I too got loads of grief at school, and many times since. At least being my own boss, it's never caused problems at work! What others don't know, they can't hold against you. Whatever it may be...     Mine's from Spain a long time back. Then went to Ireland when the Spanish Armada got it's arse kicked and some sailors got lost and landed on the west coast. Then my dads folks came to the UK and here I am. Oh joy...... Cheers.

    The main problem with .177 is most of the pellets are too light. They may fly very fast but they also slow down fast, they have a crap ballistic performance. I think that's why folks go on about the better 'shock' value of .22. I started shooting with .22 in my early teens and very quickly found that much past 25-30 yards was pointless. Targets hit. Targets buggered off..... I changed to .177 about ten years ago and with the right pellet (For my gun, Baracudas, Bisley Mags. Same thing...) what I hit tended to stay hit. That said, I changed to .20 a while back and I'm well pleased

    The point is it's all about the right tool for the job. No one with a brain in their head is going to argue that an air gun's a more effective tool for killing things than a fire-arm. We live in a small country and as has been said, paths, roads, houses, whatever make a differance as to what we can use. A good air gun, used with respect and consideration can be a very effective tool. Let's not forget that guns are only tools. It's not just 'each to their own', it's about what is doable and what's not. Cheers.
