  1. Thanks for all your help, chaps It's an HW90K, Walther 3-9x56 IR scope, HW moderator that I use. I've tried a few types of scope and gun mounted lights and I know I'll never be able to stop the re-zeroing problem with extra stuff on the gun. I don't like PCPs. I know they've some advantages over a springer, but I don't like the way they shoot and I'm a lazy bugger, so I don't like all the faffing about that goes with them. I've tried a few but they just don't do it for me. I guess I'm stuck with the head torch route! I'll look into the torches mentioned. Again, many thanks for all yo
  2. Aaaaaargh!! It's not a mount problem!!! But thanks anyway!
  3. Thanks, woz. It's not the mounts, it's the way the gun recoils that's causing me grief. They can be very sensative to weight or ballance changes. Cheers for the reply, mate. sorry mate i wrote that one badly........cluson do a light mount that bolts to your scope....its about the best system....some of the bigger centre fire rifles we use have a fair bit of recoil.....alot more than a springer......if you are saying by fitting a lamp to your sight is knocking it out then your mounts that actually hold the scope to the rifle arnt upto the job....... Thanks, mate. I see what

  5. Hi, folks. I'm having problems with my lamping gear. I use springers, and have tried scope mounted lamps, but I'm fed up with having to re-zero each time I take it off or put it back on. I've been useing a Petzel 5 LED head torch for a while, and it's fine out to 25 yards or so but not enough power for any further. I'm useing a good enough scope, I could use a little help with my lighting problem though...... Cheers. Andy.
  6. Hi, mate. When you've an idea as to what you fancy, have a look at the 'for sale' section on this site. Some very keen deals pop up regularly! Cheers.
  7. Daft shaped pellets never seem to work, and if you've got a bad batch of them, forget it.
  8. Well a scope mounted lamp is actually lighter then a torch held under the fore end, as the battery is clipped of to the belt and with it being sat on the scope, it does not upset the balance of the gun as much either. NV does not way that much either. Now a bipod......... I am not so sure about that one but I am going to try one anyway. Can't make a comment if I have not given it a go at lest. Just me I suppose. Try anything once. ATB Michael As I use a springer, I don't like mounting extra stuff on the gun and having to re-zero it each time. Can anyone recomend an alternative? I
  9. Hi, mate. The Benjamin EB22 packs a punch for what it is, and doesn't cost a fortune. That said, if you shoot a lot, the CO2 can soon add up. Cheers.
  10. I think that you have pushed it a bit to far now Timelord, i would like to see you repeat that to my face you ugly mug. You are so full of yourself and you think that you are better than everyone else, you are 40 years of age start acting like it. You are a disgrace to this forum Have you two established who's got the biggest dick yet?? Sometime's it's just best left alone......
  11. You're dead right there, JPT. Some folks seem to think if you're not born with a silver snap-cap up your arse, then you're not worthy...... dnt jump on the bandwagon you maggot. born in a pit village like any fooker else. if you want the simpathy vote pal. try jeramy kyle. No worries, fella. A coal snap-cap in your case then.
  12. Okay cheers for the heads up buddy. I've go to work on it next week Pictures here if you can confirm it's a MK4 Photos Looking at those, I think it is.
  13. Hi, Dan. If the recoil's up but the power's down you may well have an air leak. Try takeing the loading tap out and smear a liitle graphite grease on it. Don't use moly grease round there, as it's too prone to combust. The piston seal on those ain't too clever either. It's a simple rubber 'o' ring and they dry out over time. Best replaced. Take care when re-fitting, as it's easy to trap the seal in the cylinder's slot when pushing the piston back in. Cheers.

  15. Michael, you are totally correct Isn't this a place where like minded folks are ment to have a chat, laugh, exchange views and expreience? There's been quite a few topics of late that've just turned into loads of p**s takeing and insults and I can't understand why that should be. There really is no need. Our sport, the thing we all love is under threat, fellas. The more that we bitch at ourselves, the less likely we are to stand together if crunch time ever comes. United we stand? Or not........ Cheers. Andy.
  16. It's a real shame more folks don't share your outlook. Might be a few less wars etc!!!!
  17. Does anyone use a range finder when hunting? The closest I've come to that is a mil-dot ret on one of my scopes, but to be honest I find the dots distracting compared to a normal 30-30 ret. What do you guys think? Cheers.
  18. No, I'm not. It was late and I went to bed! Check now, mate. Cheers.
  19. Cool. If you like it and it does for you, keep it. I really am shocked at some of the comments you've got about this. There are folks on here that should be ashamed. Who the hell are you all to judge? (Aaron??) If you change your mind, mate, as I said PM me and we'll take it from there. In the mean time....... Enjoy!
  20. Wolly. The world's all so full of piss takeing tossers. You've had a fair share of that on here. Shame......... I could do with a cheap springer for a bit of plinking. If you've still got it. and want to sell. P.M. me. I'm just down the road in Leeds. Cheers, and don't let judgemental wankers put you down.
  21. Cool but Slipknot, Pantera, Sepultura will kick their butts all day Total bollocks, but a fair point, well made......
  22. Don't bother listening to 'Bright Eyes'. Try 'Angel of Death' by Slayer. Gets you in the mood.......
  23. I've never used NV. This may sound daft but how does it compre to lamping? Do the rabbits behave differently to when they're under a lamp? I guess it's just like watching them behave normaly, but is that an advantage over having them freeze when lit up? Cheers. In places where people do a lot of lamping, the wabbits get lamp shy and will not freeze but leg it. Using NV you get around that problem and if you move quietly, the bunny will know you are there when it gets hit by a bit of led. Game over. HTH Michael I guess I'm lucky. The shoots I go on there's only me an
