  1. F*****g first class!!! Let's hope they never get hold of darts, or we're all doooooomed! Cheers!
  2. Hi' folks. I've read a few rather, erm, bold claims about airgun's effective killing ranges in a few recent posts. What do you think, chaps? Out to 96m as has been claimed? Or do you think that's maybe just a tad too far for a 12ft/lb airgun? Your thoughts, please! Cheers.
  3. 96m??? Come on, keep it real. Cheers.
  4. Surely the answer is love, peace and understanding? And maybe beer and fags too... Cheers.
  5. Hi, folks. Is it just me, or have the same topics been raised over and again recently?? Cailiber, recomendations, best gun for so much etc..... Maybe I'm just paranoid, but then 'they' are out to get us! Cheers.
  6. Yeah, I know. But all the same, it seems a little overkill. .222, .223 or .243 would seem to be more than enough for an animal of that size. Cheers. Edit to say: 30 30's little more than a large pistol round.
  7. Sterry's spot on. Lead is something that needs to be instinctive, practice is the only answer. Clays are a good way but it needs to be remembered that birds don't fly in a nice parabolic arc like clays do. I know a few decent clay shots that struggle with live targets 'cos of this. Try as many different angles and speeds with clays as you can. That's how game breaks.... Good luck! Cheers.
  8. Hi, folks. I've been offered one of these for what I think is reasonable cash (£275), but I've never seen one before. It handles very well and I like the overall feel of it, but know nothing about them. Anyone had any dealings with this gun? I've used their .22rf guns, but never had anything to do with their shotguns. Many thanks. Andy.
  9. Hi, mate. Thanks for the reply but the G79's very different to the ones I'm after. Cheers.
  10. No they bloody don't and thats why I only took it once ATB Michael That'll be the time you found out it didn't work under water! Cheers.
  11. One last bump, then I'll give it up as a bad job!! Cheers.
  12. Hi, mate. What sort of 'loud'? Is it mechanical noise or muzzle noise? Could be any number of things. Cheers.
  13. Easy. Just take the third left past Narnia, then follow the signs. It's not on most sat-navs yet, so stick to maps and good advice... Cheers.
  14. Where in Essex are you then ?? Maybe I could help ATB Michael If you could take Scuba up on his offer, then do. Sound advice is priceless!! Cheers.
  15. Nice one! It's something I've noticed, pigeons seem to be a little less easily spooked when it's pi**ing it down. Cheers.
  16. Shaun's right. The HW will last you a lifetime. I use CO2 and it does have it's uses but if you want a gun that'll do you right time and again, the 45's the one to go for. It's a right pain having to change the CO2 every few shots and the cost soon mounts up. Cheers and welcome to the site!
  17. Erm..... Isn't this a field sports forum, or am I missing something?
  18. I've a King Ratty and for what it is, it's a cracking little gun. I use it for short range around barns and buildings. Very quiet (with a mod on), accurate and powerful enough for what I need it for. If you're thinking of one as your main gun, however, I'd look elsewhere. Power drops off when it gets below 5 deg C, you need to keep careful count of your shots as the gas runs out with little warning, the build quality's not too good, if you shoot a lot, the 88g canister's soon ramp up the cost and to cap it all it's bloody American! Maybe have a look for a used Lightning, Webley Xoc
  19. Is the Bren 10mm still available? I'm a little out of touch, but some 'mates' from a long time back spoke very highly of them. Cheers.
  20. Is there visible wear on the catch? Or maybe the retaining spring's weak. How much use, how old is it? Cheers.
  21. theres no point putting a bipod on ur gun mate springers dont like bipods atb He's dead right. It'll jump all over the shop. You can't rest springers on anything solid 'cos of the way they recoil. Cheers.
  22. That's inspired! Save a bloody fortune on all that expensive gear and it must really sharpen your field-craft. I bow to you, Sir! For me, gun, ammo, multi tool game bag, string and the cloaths I'm wearing. Cheers. must say though the midges are a bit of a pain Try some eau-de-cowsh*t. Keeps them away. The Body Shop sell it as it's all natural. Pig pi*s works too but it stings if it gets in your eyes.... Cheers!
  23. It's a sad day indeed when you can't have a laugh. By the way, I've always used a 30 yard zero, whatever caliber. Seems to be a good compromise. Almost forgot to post a reply to your question! Cheers.
