    I was thinking of this picture when I read the post. I would have a tread mill ,if I had the cash to spare,but I have read that a well respected greyhound vet , does not advocate them, as they fail to provide the cardiovascular exercise needed. I think Sandymere posted the link ,along with a rambling article on bananas. I could be mistaken as to the site ,it might be from M******S. PS I don't pretend to be more informed on conditioning than CN. I believe Rose either drew,or beat Dancer in a match, and Foxy is known to anyone who has followed coursing .

    IT IS NOT JUST THE QUESTION OF SPEED, IT`S THE QUESTION OF HOW THE DOG USES IT`S SPEED. RUNNING ALL OUT ON A HARE & PUSHING IT ON TO GO IN FOR THE STRIKE WILL NOT WORK WHEN THE HARES GO UP A GEAR. CONSTANTLY PUSHING & STRIKING AT A STRONG HARE THAT HAS EXPERIENCE OF BEING RAN, ALLOWS THE HARE TO ANTICIPATE & EVADE THE DOG`S TACTIC OF SPEED THEN STRIKE. MORE ENERGY & EFFORT USED EQUATES A SHORTER COURSE & A DECENT HARE ESCAPING.     cheers penny , fingers crossed , got him out his cage this morning , theres no change , but he's rying to wag his tail , yesterday he did'nt have the power to do that , so hopefully the drugs are starting to work---i'll keep you posted on progress As Skycat says , a good running dog vet is the way to go.I had a dog hit a banking he turned a somersalt chipped off a piece of bone, took him to Desi Fegan,then at Milton Keynes track, he injected some stuff around the errant bone, and isolated it, so that it caused no further problems .
