  1. Everybody had to start somewhere... Quite true, but starting by using other pest contollers photos, without asking ,or acknowledgment ,,and putting your own caption to them, is not the way to proceed in my opinion. Would you go asking for permission / touting for business, with photos from this site, showing dead rabbits in them ,but rabbits that were not taken by you, something that was ,somehow not mentioned in the captions? You fecking tell em ' Inan... This plagiarizing of 'another man's work'...be it images, or the written word,...is nothing new.... All the best,.
  2. Lets wait and see, if any of these pics turn up elsewhere Pat.
  3. The rifle don't look that bad John Sorry John I meant the Steyr SSG & Alpine and the Sako TRG , you've got a fine looking weapon! Some one's been peeking! Eye's front in the urinals!

  5. Thanks mate, and congrats on getting your firearms licence I look forward to your photos.
  6. In one sentence he refers to the company as the "Wiltshite Rabbit Control", I don't know if this is intentional or not. Seven years is not a long time ,but long enough to have accumulated photographic proof of your own efficiency as a rabbit controller I should think.
  7. I have been out tonight doing a spot of pest control with Magwitch, no doubt he will post pics tomorrow. Whilst driving home he mentioned that he had come across a site named "Wiltshire Rabbit Control", and ,that prominently featured on its home page , was a photo of a group of dead rabbits in the back of a car, accompanied with the caption "Our favourite method of rabbit control is to use a high powered air rifle over a period of time". The inference being that this was the method employed in taking these rabbits ,and that they were shot by MR Paul Finnerty, the owner of the web site
  8. The dog seems to be able to box his hare well ,but I like to see the length of the slip before evaluating a course.Any long dog should catch a kick up, imo.
  9. On the money ,as usual, Roadwork should be a gradual build up. Surgical spirits are good to harden up pads ,but too many miles, too soon , wears them thin, before they get a chance to toughen up. Friars Balsam is also a good treatment for sore feet ,but messy if the dog is kept inside. I used to start Sonny, my old dog, on 2 miles at a slow pace ,gradually building up to 6 miles fairly quickish,so it's completed in around 50 min, he also got an hour and a half daily, free running in fields. Obviously the more stay in your dog ,the less crucial long distances are, but I found 6 miles a
  10. I would go for a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddie for preference.
  11. My ferreting partner Magwitch has a 3/4 whippet [sooty Sam] x 1/4 Beddie, named Ted ,his reactions ,and early pace are phenomenal I run him with my fastest dog Smokey , he leaves him for dead over the first 60 yds, check out some of his posts for pics. Whippets are underrated for stamina too, I remember having a long, and interesting conversation with the late Ted Walsh about Laguna and Nimrodel lines of whippets re coursing. For a ferreting bushing dog I would go for a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddie, to add coat and a bit of nose ,but for bunny bashing ,Whippets take some beating ,they do suffer fr
  12. He is trying to keep me out of the pics Steve, says I am too old. ps ATB with the MAN today.Inan.

  18. Now what do you want? The 5 minute argument or,the allnighter?
  19. inan you say it as it is. I respect that Much to my surprise Joe ,I find that I respect you ,I dont allways agree with you , but I respect you.
  20. The daywalkers do a good job of the dividing and putting themselfs and there dogs on a pedestal without any help from me I think it may be said you are a trifle sensitive on this issue Joe. I agree not every hare is easy on the lamp , but it is also true that some dogs that catch hares regularly in the beam struggle in daytime on big land.Horses for courses ,it doesnt make one activity more meritorious than the other imo. Now put your shirt back on ,you know you have a weak chest.
  21. I've had lurchers for 40 years.Matches I saw ,[was in], had the slips agreed before the start.Never saw a match without a minimum of 50 yds being given, and doubled up meetings -100yds.I think you are presuming quite a bit here. Though I will say hares given no law seem to be seen on videos a lot more frequently nowadays. Jaimie has some nice footage of runs and I will probably be buying off him shortly ,but my rabbiting partner Magwitch's whippet x beddie would have caught most of those hares. The dogs were slipped before the hares had chance to get into their stride, a quick, agile dog ,with
  22. So you watch one clip, and lump all coursing men in the same bracket? Have a look at the Forley Cups and the Calendar Videos from the past , then comment.
  23. Not because you wont because they carnt. Typical daywalker hares are easy on the lamp, light in there eyes, motor behind them, run into things, they turn into different animals at night etc etc. Not to quick to prove the shite you spout out your mouth though are you You do like to divide us Joe ,don't you? Why can't a dog man be both? A coursing man ,and a lamper, different sports imo, but both good craic.
  24. No, its called a"kick up".
  25. I am thinking seriously of the same set up ,S, probably 2nd hand, and with the 16''
