  1. The point is the time of year, re, the pheasants surely?
  2. Same old "Us and Them" .no wonder its hard to get permission . Do you think everyone who shoots is rich ,or a toff ?Oh my Christ. No i don't mate i've shot on driven shoots myself with working class men before. But i know that they wouldn't go mental over a few accidental pheasants if i was taking rabbits off crops that pheasants take cover and feed in. I've got permission on shooting land myself, i do the most i can to avoid taking pheasants but they are roaming birds and accidents happen end of. Does this make you a rich landlord or a toff then? Talk about divide and conquer.
  3. I am afraid they started it shooting pet dogs and beating kids up but thats all in the past now. are we back at school now then? they started it come on. you go there poaching you ask for what you get then bitch when they hit back boo f****n hoo pal Sorry but some of us were not born to tugg forlocks to wealthy landowners and their servants. Or to respect Game Seasons ,which is much more the point of the argument.imo.
  4. Rich landlords again? Change the record ,or get on some shoots, beating and meet these people. N.B .Hare drives while distasteful to me and ,to most lurchermen are carried out during the Shooting SeasonSpot the difference?
  5. What did you expect when you posted the pic,a pat on the back?

  8. Terrific post. I saw Blondie win the Millenium ,and though I was rooting for my mate Gary's Red ,you couldn't take anything away from Blondie , as Gary said ,she deserved it.
  9. Yes is the answer ,some exciting accounts of days, and nights out.
  10. Given the circumstances you have explained ,I wish you all the very best with rehoming the dog.
  11. Coming from a judge as experienced as yourself ,I take that as a compliment
  12. Maybe your opinion might have changed if you had paid the £10?
  13. I allways flex the wrists of dogs when judging,it is a good indicator of any damage in that area, unruly dogs are a problem when judging I've been bitten several times."he doesn't usually do that," whilst trying to be diplomatic ,sometimes you just have to say ,"look your dog will not allow me to examine it, in fairness to you," [and to yourself], "get a refund and come back another time".
  14. Just been to this its a total load of cack Six stalls with anything like a link to field sports. I saw two lurchers and 4 whippets walking around. It took me less than five minutes to walk around the place. Complete waste of time, and money. £10 to get in ,£1.50 E.W. through the tunnel, and £5 in diesel. Game Fair? It should be renamed," The Tacky Stall Show" Save your money.Don't go.
  15. I'd be happier if they hung him ,but even if he was 150 years old ,if he is guilty, he should pay the price.
  16. Only telling the truth J,Ive nothing to run on the big land, my lad dislocated his leg at the end of the season he has pins ,and rods in it as I type. But I expect I will come up with R, and watch a few of you ,look forward to seeing you.
  17. not quite so sure mate, many working dogs have bust toes, ruptured tendons, maybe a dropped muscle, the odd scar especially around the ears and in my experience a lot of real, good working dogs have an aura about them almost looking down on lesser dogs, and some of mine are really peeved at having to ponce about at a stupid show when their minds are obviously far away on more important matters. i'd rather sell a puppy to a good honest knowledgable show home than to a messer working home where the pup would be ruined by 8 month old and moved on to end god knows where. Ive judged quite
  18. I'm in Kent otherwise I be interested, good stuff ,the old gee gee meat.
  19. Not me, I can't see the benefit of it. Not sure I agree with leaving your dog for a full 2 days without anything to eat???? Have heard of folk feeding 6 days out of 7 which would be 24 hours without food but 48 hours at one time seems an awful long time? Anyone else do this??
  20. Dogs do best when fed a diet that includes the right amount of protein, fat and carbohydrate to meet their individual metabolic requirement, raw meat alone does not do that likewise many completes will also fail to do so. Some raw diets will overload the dogs system with bacteria which just adds another stressor, hence my rejection of pets minces etc. Basically it is a balance so the idea that raw is the answer doesnt add up, thats not biased science just basic text book science. Balance and inclusion not bigotry and exclusion. If you feed what you believe to be shit that comes in a bag and th
