Only on CHRISTMAS DAY You rotten B@sturd Eating such magnificant BOP's :tongue2: BASC published a "Recommended Code Of Practice" And that is exactly what it is its what some bloke recommends, it is not law nor is it meant to be taken as word of law. Its purely a recommendation.======================================================= I don't know I take 24 hours off the site and the place goes to tits up all the way to Hell :11: I was out with Dillan this evening hoping to bop a bunny or two I noticed a pair of ears sticking out above the crops

    Hare

may be you read jaspers post wrong or you dont know what your talking about ...as for your comment "just to see if your airgun could kill something that big, no ??" its easier to shoot a hare with an air rifle than it is a rabbit!! the skull on a hare is no where near as thick as a rabbit making the hare it much easier to kill .... atb gary Is that why the BASC, in its published Recommended Code Of Practice, names only the following as suitable quarry for an air rifle? Crows,Rooks,Jackdaws, Brown Rats,Jays,Woodpigeons,Collared Doves, Grey Squirrels, Magpies,Feral Pigeons ,a
  3. Had this happen to me over 30 years ago ,a friend of a friend wanted my dog Max to line his bitch ,I asked him how much he was going to sell the pups for? He said £25, I told him that would be the stud fee. He used the dog, had the litter, but no money came my way.I phoned him several times, no answer, went round his gaff no answer.I finally found him, one Sunday morning, round my friends ,got him bang to rights, knocked him over a car and gave him a couple more digs ,but didn't get my dough.Money up front is the best policy ,as I found out. Unfortunately there are a lot of c***s in the ga
  4. Magwitch and I use them all the time they take all the ache out of pugging imo,and enable you to ferret hedges and ditches that purse nets can't touch. Good job, well done. Nice little place in the photo, did you have to use the servant's entrance?
  5. Myxie only affects rabbits ,you can give them to your pugs without any worries. Myxie is all over my permission at the moment my dogs have been picking them up daily, and [after suitable time in the freezer ,rabbits not dogs] ], eating them daily.
  6. Going to give this a try . I have been getting lots of plums lately, my partner has made a few crumbles ,and I have started making smoothies ,just with plums, and yoghurt in a blender.
  7. P, I've been feeding raw for 4 years now, mostly rabbit with the heads and feet on, frozen for 3 weeks, never had a problem ,but the dogs can get a bit bound up if I don't vary the menu.Inan coughed up a fur ball the other day rather like an owl pellet, no doubt an accumulation of head and foot fur. One positive from raw is the small amount of crap that has to be picked up ,compared to the mountains of poo that complete foods end up as.
  8. A fine review from someone who knows what he is looking at,one to buy methinks!
  9. I don't know the answer to your question ,but a friend of mine had a litter from this stud,he kept back a dog and bitch, and both are very good animals, that he is well pleased with.
  10. Decent run ,the bitch stayed to her task ,she looked a little soft in condition, but finished the job. Obviously pre ban. She looks a little quicker , in pace and running style on the other video. Thanks for posting this
  11. So would I ,otherwise ,not much point going out.
  12. As Stubby says abcess, or tape worm cyst which is jelly - like with tiny white balls in it.Abcesses are usually light cream in colour . Allways check out carcase before going further.
  13. Good run that, dog allways running within itself ,never overshooting, lining up it's hare and gradually tightening things up,and reeling it in .Thanks for posting ,and, for the other clips, you have generously put up.
  14. Butch ,the first lurcher I ever owned was bred this way I bought him from a guy who rejoiced in the nick name "Cave man" ,from Dartford the dog cost me £12. Butch was fast and had stay,he could jump like a stag too, unfortunately he only lived to 18months Parvo claimed him, it was the first onslaught of the virus and no one knew what it was ,or how to effectively treat it. That was over 40 years ago,I still think about him from time to time.Your dog is bred in the purple so should do the job ATB with him.ps I am across the river, opposite you.
  15. This week- end,I don't think there are any lurcher classes though.
  16. P M Miles on here, he is the stud book of the coursing world.
  17. rambo had bull blood dont try and tell a farmer how to milk a cow........rambo couldn't handle the fens! See page 6 mcullochs rambo isn't the dog we were talking about inan irish bobs rambo had bull in him and was a good dog 'round leeds and yorkshire' but couldn't handle fens see page 2 bellend Nowhere on page two was Irish Bob's name mentioned, I was following up Boyo's earlier post, I didn't insult you, but you, in your little post, thought it necessary to have a pop at me .I could return the favour but why descend to your level? You just mugged yourself.
  18. rambo had bull blood dont try and tell a farmer how to milk a cow........rambo couldn't handle the fens! See page 6
  19. see my previous post!!! not saying it didn't happen, but not all hares are the same! Boyo tells the truth ,I was there .
  20. I was once at a lurcher coursing meet , the mother of my oldest dog, a top class bitch was slipped on a myxi bunny ,which just sat there the bitch ran up to it but refused to pick it up everyone laughed. The bitch won the stake.Sometimes if the rabbit does not act as normal, it throws the dog ,nothing to get uptight about.
  21. I will second that ,decent dogs, and a DECENT MAN
  22. Either suits me , wouldnt ferret till the cold snap comes, could lamp bunnies if the cover is low enough, and the ground not too hard.I am insured via the C/A, my dog is stock broken.Have a word with your land owner and maybe we can work something out,I am about 8 miles from the QE Bridge.I have a 4x4 so can go off road if the farmer is happy , but normally walk when lamping.Regards Inan.

  23. I judge someone on much more than how much game their dogs taken. Personally ,I judge them on how they take their game ,and how they conduct themselves in general.
  24. I have left two messages on the feedback section ,neither have been replied to ,nor have they been put on view.
  25. Everybody had to start somewhere... Quite true, but starting by using other pest contollers photos, without asking ,or acknowledgment ,,and putting your own caption to them, is not the way to proceed in my opinion. Would you go asking for permission / touting for business, with photos from this site, showing dead rabbits in them ,but rabbits that were not taken by you, something that was ,somehow not mentioned in the captions? I agree that he's out of order to claim other peoples' hard work as his own. That's not a good way to do business and its unfair on you guys. Maybe you could co
