  1. Magpies get a salute from me too...... A one shot salute!
  2. I dont know if it was originally bred for food,no one in their right mind would breed a carnivore for the table, dog meat isnt all that, its edible but there are tastier things to eat,but when times are hard maybe that was one of its uses... like croc Not sure about that. Most of the tastier fish species eat other fish and animals. And Croc tastes very nice
  3. 'She' was probably once a 'he'
  4. Apparently just one of the many talents this dog possessed if you read the breed standards, but we have all read breed standards Can just picture the judge at Crufts having a taste!
  5. Best one of all.... Wanking makes you go blind. If that were true there we'd all be needing a stick and a guide dog.
  6. a chink could curry up a card board box an you would eat it I think I must have, judging by the taste of some of the Chinese meals I've had
  7. spot on so were do you draw the line If I was starving, I'd probably eat anything. If it's simply trying something, then I'm always game, except I wouldn't eat cat or Rat (knowingly ), they're two animals I really detest!
  8. If you swallow an orange pip a tree will grow inside you. If you swallow chewing gum it'll wrap round your intestines. Dandelion sap cures warts. you can't get pregnant if you have sex standing up. A lot of hedgerwow fruit means we're in for a bad winter.
  9. Wouldn't fancy eating Dog, but would if the alternative was starving. IMO though I agree with him, it's no different from Pigs or any other farmed animal, it's just how we perceive it.
  10. You shouldn't be drinking on an empty head.
  11. Nice going foxdropper Learned my lesson with the phone, I now always put it on silent.
  12. Well Old Trafford is THE THEATRE OF DREAMS! Just be careful not to damage that stadium!!
  13. Take my hat off to you mate. There's not many who'd do that.

    Good News

Just read that the Stockport householder who stabbed and killed an intruder, has been cleared, and will face no charges. :clapper: let's hope it makes more of these scum think twice before burgling.
  15. Read through some of the posts on here and see who never lamps alone, that'll let their secret out Bet there's a few
  16. As I said, when I looked into it, the ammount of people who'd had buyers ripping them off was unbelievable. And no matter what proof you have, ebay invariably sides with the buyer in any dispute. ebay is a f**king joke! unless of course you're a rip-off merchant out to make some easy money. Many of the victims described it as 'legal' theft!!
  17. ebay are keen to stress their 'buyer protection', but there is no such thing as 'seller protection' with them. A seller has to rely on the buyer being honest. I did some research, and was amazed how many sellers had been scammed, and ebay just simply weren't interested. In this case all the buyer has to say is that the item is 'not as described' ie not what he expected, especially as he'd not seen it before buying. IMO ebay could be a goldmine for unscrupulous people to make fortunes.
  18. Like that one! Saving a life can certainly be classed as a great achievement though . You can be justifiably proud of that one.
  19. Publisher is part of microsoft office. If you don't have office on your PC, you may have microsoft works, which should have a condensed version which you could use.
  20. I was lucky in that my dad always gave us everything he could, and never ever laid a hand on any of us 3 kids. He died when I was only 21, and although we did a few things together, it truly is my biggest regret (and boy, I've made some mistakes in my life!) that I wasn't a better son, and I'd spent more time with him when I could've.
  21. My two kids, Boy and Girl, are both grown up now, and I can honestly say that they're my two best achievements in life by far. Though I didn't realise it at the time, I was anything but a model son when I was growing up, and I must've been a real handfull for my parents. Granted, my kids have had their ups and downs, but I've never been anything but proud of them.
  22. Have you thought about designing your own using Publisher? That way you could add anything you want to the label, including a photo if you wished.

    magpie

to be fair if a magpie needs rescuing off a roof I wouldn't have though it's going to survive that long anyway!!! The RSPCA inspector most probably thought it was a Penguin! After all, most of those halfwits know f**k all about wildlife. "thought it was a penguin" Surprised the dozy badge wavers did not call Batman! They most likely tried!
  24. And long may it continue As well as the money that Grouse shooting brings to an area, the managment of moorland for shooting improves the habitat for many other species too. If shooting on these moors stopped, and with it keepering, the moorland would quickly degenerate.
