    Just curious as to what you use when working on gun. i have been looking on Internet seen items like https://www.sportingkit.co.uk/wa/1/63/6960-MTM-Gun-Cleaning-Vice.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIz8isrr333gIV7gDTCh0KhAeQEAQYASABEgIqAvD_BwE but don't think they are worth the cost, also seen homemade items which look good so just curious what others use. I should say that when cleaning my shot guns I tend to lay bits on an old piece of camping mat foam so as not to damage them.

    Well went out today for a look very few birds around, however I did note that the rape here is already flowering, so unless we get some good hard frosts I feel this year might be a struggle here.?

    Worth visiting local boot fairs for tools and look on gumtree sheds ,green houses can be obtained for free if you dismantle, good luck

    Thanks lads, will now carry break stick and be more vigilant. Just seen on net how to use break sticks seems kindest way should it happen again.

    No wind up to be honest it really shocked me as he has never done anything like this before and my other half walks them sometimes on her own.

    I do normally keep him on lead when other dogs about, or if I see another dog I call him and put him on it. I guess a breaking stick is the answer, what type of wood shape etc?
