  1. What with all this cold weather and the fact that yesterday both my drinkers were frozen i was wondering what you can do to prevent it? I have at the moment wrapped some pipe insulation around the outside, any other tips? Thanks
  2. I would just like to thank everyone for the advice given. I checked the garage and found that there was a rainwater drainthat had a plastic grill, this had been bitten through replaced this with a cast iron one and ensured it was a tight fit. Wired some poison to the rafters supporting the decking outside and sure enough it was slowly being eaten,then for two weeks nothing then i noticed rat droppings under decking and could see that some of the poison was in next doors. so went round to see him and i also informed the council. Decided that i would set a fenn under the decking and bang got

  4. I use a stealth net find them good, low weight, fold up small and give good visability when looking through.
  5. Well two weeks ago whilst in the garage or saw a small rat/mouse run across the floor, so set a couple of fens left it 2 hours and inspected only to find one had gone off but no victim. I thought it was a mouse i saw, so set some mouse traps. in the morning mouse traps had been set off but no victim. Well later that evening i saw 2 full grown rats, so told the kids to remove all fishing groundbaits and store in plastic tubs, feeling confident now that there was no food source i was sure to catch. Still no joy. Called a mate who came round and said that the gap under the front of the garage

  7. Hi mate I picked up a couple from Bullmilk on here £5 each he is on the Isle Sheppy might be woth contacting him to see if he has any left.

Trouble is when you buy something its the party you buy it from you have the gripe with not the manufacturer, this causes a lot of confusion thats why sometimes you're better paying a bit extra from a reputable company as you're consumer rights are then enforcable without everybody passing the buck. Surely if the manufacturer is offering a 12 month warranty then the grip is with them, the goods are not fit for purpose.
  9. Well i purchased from Ianb a locator and 2 collars brand new. well after my first outing last sunday 20th September it was found that one of the collars was not working. I checked it before putting ferret to ground and it was fine. Upon retrieval the collar was not working, changed the batteries and still no joy, took the batteries out of the other collar in case the 2 new ones i put in were faulty and still it did not work. well sent this back to Deben with proof of purchase and received the following back 'Can you let me know if you purchased this from E-Bay?   13. Thanks John, Have had two of them wearing collars, no problem and they go through pipework in the garden. Two are 5 months and the other is only 11 weeks. I will probably wait another month and try the older two with a mates who has some with have a couple of seasons behind them.
